When did everyone take maternity leave?

I'm due in Feb 2022, and I'm in a office role. I know I legally have to tell my work by end of October and I could start my maternity leave end of Nov but that seems too early to me!

When did everyone begin their maternity leave?

I had planned on going at 37 weeks, 1 week of that included annual leave. Ended up having my son early at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia so went earlier. Would plan around 37 weeks best time.
