Really craving Fast Food. Had Mc Donalds twice this week already, and I always fell guilty afterwards... Any kind words or someone doing the same?

God, don’t feel guilty! I went through a phase of only being able to eat Chinese and M&S shortbread biscuits. Not other shortbreads, only M&S would do. I actually cried one night when I got the takeaway home and realised they’d messed up my order Blush

I’d really try not to get too upset about a fast food craving - your baby will take what it needs from your body, and any food is better than none I think.

I was expecting to read that you’d drank or smoked, I would not feel bad about Mc Donald’s. I had hyperemisis with my first and pretty much lived on Mc Donald’s chips and ice. Don’t feel bad, you’re human and your body is doing crazy things. You and your baby will be fine even if you eat that third Mc D’s of the week. Try not to be hard on yourself OP.

Guilt is an utterly useless emotion - your body is growing another human being so you should do whatever you need to to get through the day.

DS1 all I could keep down was toast and marmite for 16 weeks.
DS2 I wanted all the beige carb food. One week I ordered garlic bread, calamari, French fries and mozzarella sticks every day for lunch. No regrets!

Don't feel guilty. I turned into a sugar monster during the first trimester. I lived on junk food. Since hitting my second trimester my eating habits have generally gone back to normal. I'm a firm believer that our bodies crave what it needs at the time. I was exhausted, so the sugar boosts gave me temporary energy x

Don't let guilt consume you. Have your treats and make sure you're having some highly nutritious meals to make up for it.

I've now stopped going in the gym, kids are off school so not walking as much either. My sweet tooth has run riot because I'm so uncomfortable now, only got 4 days to go to my elcs though. I did pretty well not gaining any weight between 16 & 36wk so not going to beat myself up for giving in to the treats now.

I survived the first trimester on cheese mash potato, burnt crumpets (had to be burnt) and a weekly quarter pounder meal with strawberry milkshake from McDonald's. Once the second trimester started my eating went back to normal.
