This is just out of interest to be honest. I'm not worried and have no concerns my DH is huge and was prepared for a big baby 😂 (I joke, I know fundal height and daddy's size doesn't have much to do with how little one is growing)

But my midwife kept saying I'm just over the 90th centile but to me it looks like I am over the 97th centile if I follow the key?

I haven't been referred or anything which is great but was just wondering if it was 90 or over 97 centile 🤷🏼‍♀️

What they will look for is the baby following the centile line, whether it’s 90th or 10th. Does your gestation match your fundal measurement? If it’s out by too much, you should be referred for a growth scan to see whether your baby is big or whether you have a lot of fluid etc. Any sign of GD or polyhydramnios?

@BlueSurfer I haven't had any tests that I'm aware of (apart from the normal 28 week ones) maybe they would have showed up on there in regards to GD.

I don't feel my bump is massive so that's the weird thing, I feel a normal pregnancy size 😂

My fundal weight is measuring 33weeks I'm 31 so not out by a massive amount

I read that as you being one cm/week ahead on the fundal measurement. Usually, and it seems to vary across trusts, you need a difference of three cm more or less to trigger a growth scan and any concern. The fundal measurement can also vary hugely depending upon the baby’s position.

I was 97th percentile with both my babies right up until mid way then was told my youngest had dropped off the scale and was measuring far too small. They gave me steroid injections and prepared me for having to induce if he didn’t improve. My eldest ended up being 9 lbs 2, 2 weeks late and my youngest was 8 lbs 10, 1 week early. I’m not sure the measurements are that great!

Fundal height is not a great measurement for predicting baby size. If you start jumping up centiles they should refer you for growth scans.

I was 2wk ahead on fundal with our 1st and she was an average 7lb 7oz. Our others I've been way ahead and had growth scans, all were far ahead on those too. Current was 50th centile at 20wk, 97th centile at 31+6 and had jumped above the 97th at 35+6. She has normal fluid levels and I don't have GD, they're bringing her at 39wk.

@MoonlightFancy no I think they are very rough guide and can vary massively. It was more out of us it plotting above 97% or 90% as it looked over 97% to me.

I'm not overly worried at all, was more out of curiosity and understanding different lines on the chart if anything
