TW: miscarriage

Hi there, just after some advice really, I’ve had bleeding since Sunday, it started off brown and went to red and it’s still happening today, its not as heavy as my normal period but I’ve had quite a few clots and bigger clots than ever in my period. I took another test this morning and tonight and the line is still very dark on both of them, possibly the darkest test I’ve got tonight not on first morning pee. I will add a photo - the last test is from tonight. I paid for an early scan with a private company but I lied and said I was 7 weeks to see if I could see anything on the ultrasound as I've been beside myself, but I’m actually around 4 weeks 6 days and they said they couldn’t see anything on the scan but I’m not sure if that’s cause they were looking at what they thought was a 7 week scan. I will add a picture in the comments of the scan too cause I’m not really sure what I’m looking at there is a I think it’s called endometrium but I’m more sure if that’s what it looks like if you are or aren’t pregnant. I know they look at that thickening when you are pregnant? I guess I’m just wondering if it’s at all possible that I’m still pregnant or if this has definitely been a miscarriage. I don’t seem to be able to get any support from anywhere, everyone just says wait 2-3 weeks and test again but 2-3 weeks feels like a lifetime I’ve been crying non stop for a few days now. Any advice would be great thank you 🤗

Sorry you've had such a rough few days. Sadly, in my experience it really is a case of waiting to see. Its a horrible wait when you find out so early, but scans can't tell much until a certain date. Considering you are mentioning clots, it sounds like you should err on the side of caution with regards to optimism, but you really never know with these things until more time has passed. Sorry I know that's rubbish xx

Unfortunately a pregnancy test can still show positive up to three weeks after a miscarriage as it takes a while for your HCG levels to go back down again. I would stop testing for while as they could be giving you false hope. I was getting positives until two weeks after my mc.

@aries94
At around 5 weeks you should be able to c the sac the followed by the fatel pole then heart beat norm 6 weeks some abit l8r, sorry your going though the not knowing I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp and blood and clots have never been good news for me, reasons why the NHS don't really scan until 7 weeks abit sooner if ur in pain and bleeding to rule out ectopic pregnancy cause they just cause unnecessary stress, hoping your outcome is a lot better than mine and bear in mind test can stay positive for a few weeks after a miscarriage until your hormones level out again.

I got really strong positives for about a week after I started miscarrying, slightly later than you at about 6 weeks, but it was so cruel and I was really getting my hopes up. But eventually they did start to fade. I know it's awful but this early on, there's really nothing that can be done. Try and wait a week then test again, it will drive you mad if you test everyday. If they're still very strong in a week then contact your EPU, but if they are fading then you know what has happened. I'm so sorry, I know the waiting is hard Flowers

Sorry but in my experiences with bleedimg and clots its never ended well , with my chemical I was 5 weeks 1 day I went to a&e and they sent me to the epu, the sonographer said only 10% of pregnant woman will see something on the scan at that stage, they couldn't see anything on mine so they ended up doing my bloods every 48 hours to see if my hcg was doubling or dropping , unfortunately mine went down and was confirmed a chemical pregnancy it took nearly a week afterwards for my pregnancy test to go back to negative,
