Fragmin injections - bleeding after? Or bed bugs??

Anyone else on Fragmin daily injections? I’m getting a bit of bruising around injection sites which is normal. However, I woke up this morning with a couple of little blood spots on the bed sheet around the area my Fragmin injections sites would roughly be.

Has anyone had a small amount of bleeding several hours after an injection?

I REALLY hope someone else has had this because the next most plausible explanation for blood spots would be bed bugs and I don’t want to have to do all that horrible fumigation while pregnant Sad

I do get bleeding sometimes but it clots pretty quickly, never had transfer to clothes/bedding hours later.

I have a few times and not realised until the next day when it rebleeds in the shower. Never worried about it though.

I’ve been on fragmin injections for a month now , can only seem to go through my thighs as I’m pregnant and just can’t face doing belly, are these red spots normal. The bruising is normal
For me as I have bad anemia, please tell me these are normal

Im on Fragmin post birth and have tiny blood spot bruises like you @Libbyloux123, think its completely normal. Just alternate legs and give a good rub after injecting to help diaperse the liquid.
@WobbleHead i too noticed tiny blood spots on my sheet this morning. I defo dont have bed bugs and the only explaination is from the injections
Ive not noticed bleeding at all though. Can only assume it could be from where im moving about alot over night to get DD out if her crib for feeds?
I wouldnt be worried. Fragmin is designed to thin the blood to some extent so you will be more prone to bleeding than normal. As long as its not alot of blood I wouldnt be worried.

Hi guys - yes blood spots completely normal, I found in the end. Make sure you vary the places you inject and alternate thighs each day.

Don’t rub the injection site - I was told that makes the bruising worse.

I’m holding my 11 week old at the moment. I had to keep injecting Fragmin for 6 weeks post c section. I am glad it’s over!

Interesting you say not to rub the site. I was told I should do this by the midwife and she even did it in the hospital when she gave me a dose 🤷‍♀️

Absolute classic conflicting advice for pregnant women! This seems to happen so much. Don’t midwives all get the same training?! I had a bit of bruising sometimes, and never rubbed. Maybe it doesn’t make a difference?
