I'm 23 weeks on my first and my little one hasn't really moved much or created any form of pattern. I didnt feel anything until around 20wks and they were quite harsh jabs mixed with a few little pops throughout the day. Now I don't feel anything until its late at night when I'm going to bed. Is this normal at this stage ?

I'm 24 weeks & thought my baby was in a pattern, like clockwork they'd be really active every night when I lay down in bed.

Last week at 23+5 I had no movement for almost the whole day. I phoned PAU & they said I could go in but they wouldn't expect a regular pattern until 28 weeks. I decided to go in just to be sure but as I was driving there baby woke up & started having their usual jig about. I felt pretty daft so just ended up going home.

Since then baby has been much more active during the day & less at night so I definitely don't think I have a regular pattern just yet. But it can't hurt to give your unit a call if you're concerned, they didn't make me feel like I was being stupid or eating their time at all.

I'm 37+1 and I can honestly say that my baby is not in a routine and never has been! Really annoys me when the midwife says "if the routine changes" etc. Her movements have always been sporadic.
I ease my anxieties by rubbing my stomach and she will push out an elbow or knee and let me know she's okay.
I have been in the hospital getting checked out for reduced movements twice, and she's been fine both times... just really comfortable I guess. If you're worried, it's always worth getting checked out. When you get there, baby will make a fool of you by moving about loads, but they'd always rather check Smile

I don't have a pattern either, I'm 31 weeks pregnant now and he is maddeningly inconsistent with his movements. He does move loads but he is at his most active at a different time most days.

I'm currently 37 weeks with DC4 and have never had a pattern with any of them!
