Smelling burnt toast at almost 2am?!

It's almost 2am and for the last 20 mins I have had a strong smell or burnt toast. I'm 16 weeks pregnant but I have recently had 4 seizures but the docs never determined why. I was born with cerebral palsy so I have "significant damage" to my brain anyway. Should I speak to my midwife or GP in the morning or am I being over cautious? Thank you Smile

I would, it might be nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Phantom smells can be a sign a seizure is imminent, speak to your GP in the morning. Have they given you any medication for them?

A heightened sense of smell is normal in early pregnancy, but given your history I think you need to get checked out.

Any of the main stroke symptoms? Face drooping, can't raise your arms, speech slurred? Call 999 if so.

This could be anything from a mild illness to a symptom of a potentially fatal condition. Please seek help
