7 weeks pregnant, low HCG

Hi,

I’m new here but was looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

I am 7 weeks pregnant. I had some spotting earlier in the week but the bleeding got heavier, accompanied by mild, lower stomach cramps.

I went to EPU last night and urine test said was faint and bloods came back today as low HCG. I think she said 149.

I’m booked in for bloods again in two days time and an early scan the following day.

On good old google, it isn’t sounding positive but does anyone have an similar experiences.

I don’t quite understand the HCGs and to me, from what I’ve seen, 149 seems crazy low?!

Hey hun. I didn't want to read and run. I'm not overly aware of hcg levels but I'm sure they can have such a wide range and you can't really tell much from just one reading, which is probably why they are repeating them. It is far more important that they double, rather than how high they are if you know what I mean.

Also, are you 7 weeks from your lmp? If so and don't track ovulation you couldve ovulated later in your cycle and not be as far on as you think

The two blood tests tell you more, to check whether the number roughly doubles in 48 hours, but I’m really sorry I think that number is far too low if your dates are correct. We had similar numbers at 7 weeks and was told it wasn’t viable - which was right as I miscarried shortly after x

I’m currently going through the same thing. My LMP was 06/16. However my periods last anywhere from 2-4 days, and aren’t every month. I’m currently doing blood Wk every 48 hrs, weekly I/s to make sure it’s not ectopic. I bled for 1 week and passed clots. They told me I was miscarrying, but my HCG kept rising.

7/26-92
7/29- 168
8/2-237
8/5-341
I go back tomorrow for another blood draw. I asked for progesterone when I bled and it stopped. Some women have slow rising HCG, and will have a healthy pregnancy.

Also going through similar HCG:
3/8 - 84
5/8 - 125
7/8- 179
I now have to wait til Saturday for next test. I'm fearing ectopic.

Hi sorry to jump on your post, I know it's an old post. How did it work out for you all with slow rising hcg? I'm going out of my mind at the moment. I'm 6 weeks pregnant my hcg was 535 on Monday and then 72 hours later was 766. X
