Hi, so im 20 weeks pregnant. Ive had alot of problems in my pregnancy and I'm very high risk also had 3 miscarriages in the past. I work in a care home and I am struggling. My doctor has written me a fit note with advice on for amended duties. She doesn't want me around violent patients (I work in a care home) and I'm really struggling with dizziness and falling over. What can my work do in this situation? I'm not really sure what other role I could do in a care home that isn't around the residents? Is suspension on healthy and safety grounds a option in this situation?
Thank you!

Depends on what other roles there are in your job, admin? Or other staff who can deal with the people who need additional assistance at times and you do their less physical activities

Speak with your line manager and insist on a risk assessment outlining amendments to your duties as needed. You should still be able to work in an adapted role somehow. Depending on the size of your employers company they may have an occupational health team you can be seen by for advice as well.
