Hi ladies,

Did any of you have any wind incontinence post birth, and if so when did it get better / go away?

I’m six weeks post birth (forceps, episiotomy and a 3b tear) and so far just can’t control or hold in wind but don’t have any issues with weeing. Although it all feels a bit funny down there still, especially when I need a number two!

I’ve downloaded the Squeezy app and have a physio appointment in September so hopefully that will, but wondered when I could expect some improvement based on your experiences? And any tips you’ve got would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I had this. I always laugh at wind and my dp is a total prude! I think it settled down somewhere between 8 weeks and 12 weeks pp. I used squeezy from about 6 weeks so potentially it helped.

Women's health physios are angels, good luck for your appointment.

Haha I’m the total prude in my marriage! I’d managed to hold them in for the whole time we’ve been together but that’s all gone out of the window now 😭🤣

Thank you! Hopefully things do improve for me soon too.
