Basically..

I am 37 weeks today with my first. Last few days I just haven't felt right 🤷🏼‍♀️ completely exhausted, stomach and back cramps, not much appetite, feeling sick etc. Also I have suffered with constipation my whole pregnancy but the last 2/3 days Iv opened my bowels probably more than I usually do in 2 weeks!

I went in for an examination a couple of days ago as my stomach just felt so tight I was so uncomfortable and painkillers weren't helping. They checked to make sure my cervix was still closed (it is) and just told me to have plenty of rest and hot baths.

I feel like I have pulled every muscle in my stomach, I literally feel sore. Baby's movements are now painful and I just feel like my body can't take much more 😔

Is this just how the end of pregnancy is? Am I likely to feel like this for the next 3 weeks or does it sound more like labour signs?

I was incredibly uncomfortable at your stage, to the point I felt so sad and desperate for the birth. It is normal and those big baby kicks and Braxton hicks can hurt. Saying that, my sister had a lot of stomach tightening and went into labour not long after.

Good luck OP. I was prepared to go from where you are. I still ended up with 5 weeks left though.

Genuinely, if I did it again, I would tell myself to relax and stop looking for signs etc because I ended up being induced/forced into labour anyway. Could have saved a lot of anxiety.

If you have a gym ball, bouncing and figures of 8 on that are good. Also side stepping up and down the stairs two at a time is supposed to help bring things on (maybe wait a couple more weeks before this, though)

I'm sure you've heard this before but it's really true that you should enjoy your sleep now, because you're gonna miss this in a few weeks 😂

Hope all goes well and sorry you're in pain 😖 I have heard that emptying your bowels is a sign of impending labour so fingers crossed you won't have too much longer to wait.
