Baby's feet stuck up under my ribs

I've heard people talk about this before (My MIL says she couldn't eat sitting down for the last three months of her pregnancy because of it) and now I know what it feels like!

I'm a mixture of 'wow, how interesting!' and 'oof, that's uncomfortable!'

No request for info or advice, I just feel like sharing!

I had this for months with ds. It all made sense when he arrived as he was very long and obviously had nowhere else to go inside of me!

OOh I remember it well, I cou;dn't get comfortable on the sofa - soooo frustrating. Pillow between the legs helped a little at night!
Am feeling your pain!

I just can't lean forward, not a problem yet. More uncomfortable than painful, but very interesting when I worked out what that strange feeling was - it suddenly clicked in my mind. We were told at 21 week scan that the baby has long legs!

I can feel tapping slightly lower down than my breast bone (26 weeks). Is that the same?

BellaBear · 27/11/2007 19:57

ooo, I don't know! Also sounds fascinating, doesn't it?

For months I could only eat leaning back, so I always had to bring my plate to me, rather than sit over the table. Once ds arrived it took me ages to get out of the habit!

My beanie (although marrow is probably more appropriate at this stage) likes to keep his bum wedged under my right ribs - means that everything I do I have to sit bolt upright for, including driving, computer work and eating.

Great for my posture I guess, but uncomfortable nonetheless! I'm just glad I'm in my last week of work (36 weeks)!

I had this with ds1. Sometimes he pushed so hard that you could see a little triangle poking up from my bump. But fortunately he was quite ticklish, and all I had to do was prod or rub the foot a few times and he would move it away. It is very 'oof!' though .

OTOH, it's better than when the bean plays footie with your bladder [cross-eyed emoticon][cross-legged emoticon] .

Actually, I don't know what body part is wedged up there.
I do know that it has gone from 'wow, how interesting' to 'okay, it's just bloody uncomfortable and I keep having to stand up straight and that's not fun'!
