Bloody Show and Posterior Cervix

Hello, Looking for some advice. I am 39+2 (3rd pregnancy) and this morning I woke up and had a bloody show. I know this doesn’t necessarily mean labour is going to start that day but I thought it meant that my cervix was getting ready. However I then had a midwife appointment and although she tried to do a sweep she said she couldn’t because my cervix was still posterior and she couldn’t reach it. Has anyone else had this before ? I woke up thinking the bloody show was a good sign things are moving in the right direction but a posterior cervix seems to suggest the opposite? How can you have a bloody show if the cervix is is posterior ? Thanks
