Couch to 5k and pregnancy

I started couch to 5k 3 weeks ago and yesterday found out I was pregnant. The pregnancy is very much wanted although a big surprise and I was wondering if I can continue with couch to 5k?

All I can find online is that it is safe to continue doing exercise you are used to. But as the program gets continually more intense I'm unsure.

I would carry on as long as you feel fit, just don't over do it

This was me last year - I think I was on week 6 when I fell pregnant with twins. I stopped straight away and instead changed to walking rather than running x

I'd carry on as long as you feel comfortable. Don't rush to complete weeks and repeat them until they're easy before moving on.

You'll be fine. You body will let you know if you are overdoing things.

No reason to not carry on so long as it feels okay. Just listen to your body and don't push yourself too hard. I've only just stopped running at 38 weeks!

I'd keep it to a jog and listen to your body...

I’m still just about running at 34 weeks. It’s a lot slower than it was - and shorter. But nothing to stop you keeping it up. Couch to 5km is perfect as well as it builds walking in, so will give your body recovery during the run 😊

I finished couch to 5k when I was about 6 weeks. I am trying to keep it up but my jogging has definitely slowed down, and I walk whenever I feel like it. It's a great way to get me out at least every other day. Congratulations!
