Cramps and pains at 15 weeks pregnant (not round ligament)

So I’m on here again just trying to get some reassurance! I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and having a crampy feeling in my lower back and abdominal area. I went for a scan last week after getting quite sharp pains and all was okay but now I’m back to worrying again.
I had a MMC last year at 9 weeks and feel like I’m traumatised after it because it’s all I think about in this pregnancy. I have spoken to the midwives but they’re not concerned unless there’s any ‘loss’ but I didn’t have any with the MMC so this doesn’t reassure me much.
I don’t think these sharp shooting pains are round ligament pains because they are quite low down blush. Anyway any reassurance would be much appreciated.

Hi Op,
Sorry you’re suffering. It’s been a while (my son is nearly 14), but when I was pregnant with him I had this as a complete one off, came out of nowhere, lasted one afternoon and never happened again. He was my first pregnancy. I did phone to reassure myself and they said to basically rest up and not to worry. Obviously if it doesn’t stop or there’s bleeding I’d give them another call. For me it was just my body adjusting to pregnancy. Good luck!

Round ligament pain can be quite low! The round ligament goes down quite low, if you google it you can see images of where it extends to. There are also fanny daggers/lightening crotch.

I’ve had twinges and cramps and shooting pains throughout (now 22 weeks) and it’s my body shifting around to make room for baby.

My round ligament pains were sharp and low, especially around week 16. I'm 19+5 now and they are still sometimes very low, and sometimes sharp, but they're definitely not as frequent anymore.

Sounds like lightning crotch to me

I had this. I'm 14 weeks and two weeks ago had really intense cramps for an hour. They went away, and my 12-week scan was fine. I've had milder cramping on and off, and sometimes for days after I have sex. Just seems to be the way of it with this pregnancy!

Thanks for your replies everyone. I’ve booked for a private scan next week just to reassure myself, hope it’s nothing to be worried about. Just panicking a bit because the cramps are constant especially in my lower back/bum. I’ve had little cramps throughout this pregnancy but they’ve always eased off after a couple of hours. Hopefully it’s just stretching but we’ll see on Wednesday 🤞🏻
