Hi all

Had a scan at 32 weeks abd was measuring 35th centile ( pretty standard whole pregnancy). Today on my 34 week appt I'm measuring on the 97/98th centile although so scales weight gain. Booked in for growth scan and 5th GTT test this pregnancy next week ( always come back clear and well within normal limits).

Has anyone had a jump like this? Is it normal? What could be causes? Midwife was beyond 🥴

TIA x

Is this the midwife taking measurements? And is it the same person?

What you've found is why midwife measurements are so inaccurate and unhelpful!

Wouldn't worry about it if it was fundal height. So many factors can throw them off. A scan will give you a better idea of how baby is growing and fluid levels so see how you get on with that.

I always measure way ahead on fundal and growth scans have shown big babies too, the scans have been quite accurate at predicting size. I've never had GD, I just grow big babies.

Thank you both.

Yes same midwife every time. I've had a small, 6lb 4oz, and a big baby, 9lb 3oz, although both were sections. Just seemed odd to me to jump so much and the above should have said "when I've had no weight gain on scales."

I'll wait until Wednesday for scans etc and try not worry too much. X
