Has any one delivered lately in city hospital Birmingham?
I had DD there in 2019 and my experience on the maternity ward after delivery was atrocious, staff actively refused to help with feeding, laughed at me when I said I had ante natal depression, DD due to lack of feeding support became hypoglycaemic. Delivery was ok, one male doc was a bit of a prick but I didn’t feel traumatised by it. Mental health midwife had specifically written a birth plan for me which really helped them take me seriously, don’t think they would have other wise.
Fast forward to now pregnant with DC2 and I’m concerned about the mat ward again. Anyone had recent dealings?
(Other hospitals aren’t an option really. Good hope don’t have a fetal med facility and I’m consultant led atm and heartlands is very far away. I’ve heard v poor things about walsall manor and bham women’s I’m out of area and it’s quite far too xx )
