Bump question

Hi all!

Just a bump question, my bump starts right under my boobs and is hard then soft under my belly button and it dips inwards.
I realise that doesn't make much sense so I'll attach a photo.. I wasn't concerned but my family have made some comments about it not looking 'right' and I'm just curious.
I'm 24 weeks and have a anterior placenta and a retroverted uterus (not this this would make any difference at this point?)
wasn't sure if this would be a factor in the dip. ☺️

Bumps come in all shapes and sizes. As long as baby is doing well I don't wouldn't worry about the shape as it's influenced by multiple factors.

This looks like a B shaped bump to me which is very common Hun. Don't worry, I had one till about 30 weeks xx

@Allthingspeaches
Yes everything's fine I was just wondering if it'll pop out at any point, baby moves low down so I think its positional and other factors too like you say x

@RadDarwazeh B shaped bump? I've never heard of this haha I'll be on google right away haha I was just curious if it'll pop out at any point but all is well so I'm not overly concerned x

Absolutely Google it love I did. Seems it's quite common. Midwife said I have quite a long torso so it'll be less rounded anyway xx

That was charming of your family! It's a normal way some women's bumps develop, the baby isn't up that high, it's just your organs and stuff being shoved up and the way some bodies deal with the changes, mine is the same. Eventually the bottom firms up too as the baby gets bigger down there.

SillyBry · 29/07/2021 11:15

I've got a high anterior placenta and the top of my bump has always been pretty solid?

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 29/07/2021 11:19

Totally normal! B bumps are more common if the mother is overweight, but can happen to anyone, you don't look overweight at all so please don't think I'm suggesting you are!! I think its to do with muscle and abdominal fat distribution.

Yours is only very slight and will become more rounded soon I'm sure, good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

OliviaL9530 · 29/07/2021 11:19

@SillyBry me too! It's so hard just under my boobs then gets gradually softer as you work your way down x

Ive had a B shape bump like yours for most of my pregnancy. I'd say it popped out around 28 weeks x

My friends is like that 🥰 and she has a healthy little one and all is well. She's currently 37weeks. Beautiful bump.
