Morning,

I was sent to EPU last night with left sided stomach pain. Obs were fine, HCG was 1340 at 4w5d. The doctor felt my stomach and it was really tender all over but specifically at that left hand side. I suffer really badly from constiaption and haven't been since Sunday but this is normal for me and I don't usually have such intense pain.

I've been sent home with EPAS phoning me today to discuss next steps more bloods/scan to check for a intrauterine pregnancy.

Does anyone have any experience of this? I am worried sick 😭

Sorry, sounds like it could be either. Good luck. Obviously if pain gets worse or you get dizzy, get straight back there.

My biggest ectopic sympton, aside from bleeding, was rectal pressure/feeling as though everything was really pressing down on my bottom.
I would request from EPAS that they do follow up bloods to track your HCG over the next 24/48 hours and I guess it's just a waiting game. On the positive, your HCG seems nice and high!
Don't be afraid to hassle them and ensure someone sees you - I went with the flow and ended up feeling very let down in my experience!

@Soverymuchfruit @SillyBry thanks girls. I am not long back from EPAS where they scanned me. They think I am too early to see anything, they think they saw the beginning of a gestational sac but aren't 100% and the scan was inconclusive. She couldn't see my ovaries so couldn't rule out an ectopic. I have to go back on Satueday for more bloods and next week for another scan x

@Cheekymonkey3112 Wishing you the very best - I hope it's all ok... the waiting is rubbish! Try and keep occupied :-)
If it is ectopic, there are lots of positive stories out there... there are some great facebook support groups. I had a tube removed after mine ruptured... I had to wait 3 months before trying again, but fell pregnant the first month we tried (ovulating from the side I have no tube...), so fertility isn't as massively effected as I thought it was :-)

Good luck with the wait. It's miserable I know. If they thought they saw something in your uterus then you're doing better than I did - but really hard to see anything either way at this point.

Maybe buy a big bag of prunes and see it that answers the question??
