I am 16 weeks pregnant and starting to think about buying a pregnancy pillow, but there are so many options, I just don’t know where to start!
Can you give me some recommendations please? Brands, Shape, Pros & Cons etc.

I have spent so much on maternity pillows, but ended up only wanted to have just a normal pillow between legs and one behind my back. Worth to try if you are okay with using extra normal pillows

I had a cheep one off eBay. About £25 and it was great. So I wouldn’t recommend spending a load of money on it

The theraline. It's amazing

Bbhugme- expensive but so worth it. Not pregnant any more and still use to sit up in bed/read/sleep.

SillyBry · 29/07/2021 07:15

I can’t stand the huge ones… take up all the bed, make me hot and don’t actually do that much for me.
I have one of these - Brownrolly Home Pregnancy Pillow,Side Sleeper Pregnancy Support Pillow Adjustable Bed Wedge Pillow Support Waist Side Sleeping Pillow, Bump and Back Support Cushion www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QKW5DLX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_K09N64FDS26APAVDCGMH?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21
And it just keeps me on my side and supports under my bump without being intrusive!

Another vote for the bbhugme. I was apprehensive about buying it because it is expensive but I'm SO glad I did! It's like a giant sausage and I like the way you can alter the firmness of it by squeezing the ends together to make it firmer or releasing them to make it softer x

I just use a little wedge under my bump, had a dreamgenie with first baby and hated it, tried it again with this one and still hate it. Just ended up waking up tangled in it and I didn't find it very supportive.

The wedge is great for me, just holds the weight of the actual bump. I'm lucky in that I don't seem to get much back/pelvis pain til right near the end so that might be a consideration too.

Just got a bbhugme, it's good, but honestly much bigger than i need - I don't need full body length, just belly to knees. Wishing I'd got their smaller nursing pillow instead which is half the price and presumably a better size for that too! However I'm only 22 weeks, maybe I'll start using the full length later on??

IDontDrinkTea · 29/07/2021 11:23

I’ve tried two in my last pregnancy and hated them both. But after a few days waking up with back ache I’ve just bought a bbhugme… it’s pricey but they accept returns if you don’t like it for any reason

I used the Pharmedoc pregnancy pillow, the u-shaped one, so comfy I still sometimes use it now I'm not pregnant! Got it off Amazon.
