Help! I am struggling with work

I am 4+ weeks pregnant and really struggling with work. I am a content writer for an amazing firm. I love my job and wouldn't want to quit but I am doing a lousy job at the minute. I can't concentrate, my brain is foggy and all I can think about is all the smells that are bothering me and trying not to be sick. I'm sure other women get it worse but my biggest worry is that I will be let go because I am not productive. The best way I can describe it is like "trying to write your CV with a hangover". I feel sick and restless and just don't want to be here. My manager suggested taking some time off but I felt the same after I returned. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!

Is there any option for you to work from home and flexibly, even if it’s just for the first trimester?

I’m really lucky in that I have both options. I’ve worked much longer days when I’ve been feeling well which has allowed me to accrue overtime to use on the days where I feel too sick and/or exhausted to function.

Working from home has undoubtedly been a godsend though, I don’t know how I would have coped with the sickness being in the office.

If those aren’t options for you, hopefully somebody else will be along soon with some good advice! I hope you start to feel better soon though.

I have been allowed to work from home until i feel better. It's been a life saver! The only other options would have been speaking to gp about meds to help or being signed off sick.

Thank you for the advice so far!!! Luckily they have allowed me to work from home until I am better but the work still needs doing and I am still struggling to get anything done. I feel like I am disappointing my bosses or worse they may consider firing me if I am not productive. It has been better working from home, being able to control the smells, and work in comfortable clothes but I am still suffering with "pregnant brain" lol.
