1 positive 2 negative tests?

I took my first test first thing yesterday morning and it was an instant positive which has only gotten darker over time. I took a second test in the evening to confirm and it was negative. I took another test first thing this morning and again negative. First test was boots, second two were first response. I never had this issue with my first two children but also never used these tests before so I'm wondering if the first positive was wrong?
Anyone else had this happen?

It would be unusual for a first response to be negative because they’re supposedly the most sensitive on the market, but it’s not unheard of to get a false positive. I would wait another day or two and take a digital test, they’re not super sensitive most of the time but should give you an accurate result in a couple of days once the HCG has had chance to increase. *false negative! Sorry - need to read back before I post! Very unlikely to get a false positive, more common to get a false negative.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me is very much appreciated Thats why I went for first response so wondering if maybe I was super unlucky and got a false positive with the boots! Will hold out for a few days and try with digital as you suggested. Thank you
