Pregnant and Adenomyosis

I recently had a MMC at 11 weeks and in the scans that followed was told I had adenomyosis.

They told me that it won’t effect future pregnancies and wouldn’t have had anything to do with the miscarriage. It can just sometimes cause painful periods which I don’t really have so tbh I thought nothing of it.

Last night though I read a thread from somebody who said they were unlikely to be able to conceive naturally because they had adenomyosis and IVF wouldn’t help either and it set me off a bit.

Looking further into it I found that adenomyosis could be a cause of infertility and miscarriage and now I’m a bit anxious that the miscarriage could have been something to do with me and that I might have trouble getting pregnant again.

Just looking for a bit of a handhold and to hear some success stories from people with adenomyosis?

I have adenomyosis & endometriosis and a tilted uterus (lucky me). I have 3 children all of whom were born vaginally & conceived without intervention. I just thought I had really painful heavy periods, I was brushed off by GPs from when I was 14-49, when I finally had a GP who listened to me.

I have PCOS, adenomyosis, endometriosis and a blocked fallopian tube

Now, it has been difficult for me to fall pregnant but I started progesterone cream and inositol supplements just before Christmas and am now 23 weeks pregnant

So it can happen even when all the odds feel stacked against you

Good luck and 💐

I had a MMC at 11 weeks in may. They scanned me for the miscarriage found a lump and sent me for an MRI which revealed no lump but adenomyosis. It scared the life out of me but I got pregnant in June without having a period so I don't think it effected my fertility at all. Please PM me if you want to talk x

Remember there are many conditions that may cause infertility, doesn't mean they will.

I googled and there isn't much about that particular issue, it does mention there are sometimes complications in childbirth, resulting in a C-section. Well those people obviously conceived.

Hope you conceive soon op. Good luck.

Hi everyone.
I know there hasn’t been any posts for a while but I’m struggling.

I have a three year old concieved on 1st month trying. When he was 15 months we TTC for baby number 2. Concieved first month and lost her at 18 weeks in feb 2021. Been TTC since. Started spotting for a whole week before my periods starting July 2021. Been under investigations and nothing found until literally yesterday a scan at IVF clinic showed suggestive adenmyosis. :( I had 2 small cysts in my lining and then like the waves across the scan.

ive had medicated cycles for 5 months now which has stopped the spotting but still no pregnancy.

I was meant to move forward with IVF in January but I’m so scared the odds are against me now and it won’t work and it’s such a lot of money.

im desperate to speak to my doctor.
