Could I be pregnant?!

(Apologies for the Intimate details) I had my implant removed last Tuesday. Thursdays I came on my period for 5 days. This Thursday Friday, Saturday and Sunday I have had a lot of mucus down there, it started by feeling a bit soggy down there and then ended in this stretchy clear stuff. Today I have dried up but I have had unprotected sex on the Friday and last night.
We weren’t going to start trying for a baby until next year but I thought I would be relatively safe as I’d just come off my period.
After googling it, it seems like I could have been ovulating?! Does anyone think I could have been?

  • my doctor never told me I would ovulate straight away! I just thought my periods would continue in the same cycle…

it's possible...cycles go a bit haywire for a few months after removal of contraception. If your period was last thursday it means you were on day 8 of your cycle when you had unprotected sex. even if not ovulating semen can live for 5 days in the body which would take you to day 13 and you may ovulate between day 8 and day 13. unless you're taking an ovulation test you won't know so it's very possible you may have gotten pregnant. you'll just have to wait and see i am afraid.

Can you possibly be pregnant if you had unprotected sex? Of course!

It's unlikely given you'd just had the implant taken out and just had period, but come on, as a grown woman you must know that unless you want a baby, unprotected sex = bad idea?

Obviously I know it’s always likely. Hence why for the first time in our 8 year relationship we just started having unprotected sex. I would be happy if I were pregnant now, I’m just curious as I didn’t think I would be ovulating, no need for the condescending tone thank you :) @LindaEllen
