I’m bigger than I have been through my other pregnancies however my last 3 I had the same midwife and she was great at telling if baby was head down.
No one can seem to feel baby now 🤦🏼‍♀️. How will they know if she is head down?

Scan? Otherwise it's just a guess sometimes. My baby was said to be head down all the way throughout...come labour day she was breech!

On the ward, waiting to go to theatre for my C-section, the midwife said the baby was breech ‘or she’d eat her hat’. Nope, baby head down....

@CherryMaple omg good luck! Couldn’t you of had a normal Birth then.
I honestly have never had so many issues like that can barely find heart beat 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m assuming it’s my weight but I’m not massive (yes over weight).

With DC1 the midwife could feel baby was breech/head down but they struggled to find the heart beat on the monitors sometimes. Pregnant with DC2 and my midwife said she isn't sure about baby's position - never mentioned my weight though. She said she could feel something wide at the top but couldn't feel the head down low. This time finding the heart beat has been much easier though despite me beigg heavier than last time. Also have anterior placenta but don't know if that makes a difference with feeling baby's position?
Could be that baby is in a funny position making it harder to tell - hopefully if they aren't sure they will do a scan for you just to check

They scan you to make sure if there’s uncertainty.

Thanks guys it’s prob more my anxiety.
So weird since early on finding her heart beat has been difficult.
I certainly have something high up whether a head or a bottom 😂😂😂

My GP will always announce just by looking at my belly, before even touching me, what angle the baby is lying at, I don't know if he's very talented or just making wild guesses!

None of my midwives have ever mentioned the babies position when examining me other than during a scan.
