Essential oil diffusers safe?

So I just wanted to know whether diffusing essential oils during pregnancy is safe. I tried googling this but it’s just giving me all sorts of answers. Some say yes, some say no and some say depends on which oils you use 🤷🏻‍♀️ Does anyone actually know if it’s safe?

I have the neom diffuser, got it at Christmas and thought it was amazing then read it wasn’t safe 🙄 It was at the same time I was coming to terms with not drinking, eating goats cheese, didn’t go sledging when it snowed etc etc 😂 felt like there was nothing I could do! A lot of the things I read said it was best to avoid for the first 12 weeks. I’ve had it on since then, just not every day. Things like lavender are suggested in all the hypnobirthing courses I’ve done so I would guess it has to be safe enough

There is a lot written about this. Most reactions to essential oils are if they are used undiluted and applied directly to the skin (they do not diffuse well in water ingested or burned (not infused). There are some less common oils that should be avoided in pregnancy and the notable one is Clary sage.

Link here but broadly, diffusing lavender is safe.

Articles written in the tisserand site are also well researched.
