My first two were girls and i felt very sick very early on with both and was very very tired.

With Ds i had no sickness at all and had lots more energy. In general i just had a much eaiser pregnancy with him.

There was definatly a big differnce and by the time i asked the sex at my 19 week scan, i already knew it was a boy because i felt so different.

Tessiebear · 07/11/2004 19:09

With DS's i used to feel REALLY sick in the morning and it would tail off towards the evening. With this pregnancy i feel fine in the morning but by the evening i am totally yuck! Felt REALLY tired with the boys but this time i dont feel that tired at all... prehaps i am grasping at straws (secretly hoping for a girl this time )

My first two pregancies were virtually identical, third was VERY different in many, many ways. And I knew that the baby was smaller too.
The result?
Three boys

Gobbledigook · 07/11/2004 19:13

My first two pregnancies were pretty much the same. Third one I felt much more sick and was also a lot smaller - to the point I had a scan to check growth!

Result - 3 boys!!! Oh, and despite being told by several midwives I was 'small', ds3 was heaviest of lot at 8lb 10oz!!!

Tessiebear · 07/11/2004 19:14

I know in my heart i will be joining the 3 boys gang

With my first pregnancy I had hardly any problems at all, no sickness - nothing - although I put on 4 stone!! I had DD.
The next one was totally different, I was really sick and felt generally horrid. Nothing about the pregnancy was the same - esp the result!! Along came DS.
All the best with yours

DS .. no libido, no (well twice) sickness, got really pregnant all over from ankles up, foetal heartbeat was in the 160's throughout most of pregnancy

DD .. lots of libido, very sick weeks 8 through to 16 (probably once or twice a day), just pregnant on tummy

Frizbe · 07/11/2004 19:22

I've only got the one so can't really comment, but the babies and ladies whom dd and myself have coffee etc with were very amused to find that the chinese astrology baby predictor in Decembers Mother and Baby mag, actually was true for all of us, scarey eh! works on how old you are and month conceived.....

Tessiebear · 07/11/2004 19:24

Frizbe - how sad am i - i actually used the chines calender to decide which month to get pregnant in as it predicted a girl (it also worked out correctly for my DS's as well - not using it as planning but looking it up afterwards!!)

No to the question

cazzybabs · 07/11/2004 19:30

No. 1st pregnancy very sick and was a girl. 2nd one no sickness, craved different things, carried differently and had a girl.

aloha · 07/11/2004 19:31

Exactly the same - ds first time, this pregnancy is a girl. And the Chinese Bollocks Chart was wrong both times!

stickynote · 07/11/2004 19:36

3 identical pregnancies - two girls, one boy .

Gobbledigook · 07/11/2004 19:54

Tessiebear - it's great having a boy gang so don't be upset if you do!!!

redshoes · 07/11/2004 20:13

three identical pregnancies (though tummy getting bigger each time!) one boy and 2 girls...sick with all of them...

MarsLady · 07/11/2004 20:15

identical pregnancies 4 times. Had boy, two girls then twins. Only difference was high blood pressure and more sickness with twins. Carried identically with all of them and was HUGE for all of them. The only surprise was that I wasn't bigger for the twins.

agy · 07/11/2004 20:28

My first two pregnancies (both girls) - I was sick most of the way through. Third pg (boy) no sickness at all. Could be that your body gets used to the hormones involved in pregnancy though.

MissHoolie · 07/11/2004 20:39

My first was a girl - was sick everyday for 9 months. I had terrible heartburn and also suffered with carpel tunnel syndrome.

My second - wonderful pregnancy sailed through with no symtoms - we had a girl.

Also the things people say about your bump being different. I had two distinctly different bumps so assumed I was having a boy.

emmatmg · 07/11/2004 20:41

I felt very differnet when I was PG for the 3rd time. I had very odd cravings and had a real spring in my step the whole way through. Pregnancies 1 and 2 were almost identical to eachother but No.3 was totally opposite to them.

I was convinced I was having a girl.

The 3rd boy sleeping upstairs proved me wrong!

I have to agree with goobedigook(or however you bloody spell it....can you have an easier name Gooby...oh....there it is.....) it's great have an all boy gang, and is a very exclusive club....we don't let just anyone in

blossomhill · 07/11/2004 20:42

Ds - I was very sick 24/7 for the first 13 weeks and the sailed through the rest of the pregnancy.

Dd - Felt a little bit sick the first 13 weeks but only now and again and was never sick. Had a really bad pregnancy as I was anaemic and felt really ill and tired all of the time.

2 very different experiences for me!

coppertop · 07/11/2004 20:44

1st pregnancy - sick several times a day for the first 4 months or so. Also high blood pressure on and off = a boy

2nd pregnancy - sick only once during entire pregnancy. No bp problems. = a boy

midden · 07/11/2004 21:23

Totally identical pregnancies - had one of each.

Tessiebear · 08/11/2004 12:36

Thanks for sharing your experiences everyone!!! I am going to stop trying to spot the differences between the pregnancies, not worry what it is and enjoy what will be my last pregnancy.
Emmatmg - if i submit an application for the boy gang membership, just in case ,would you consider my application? ()

I agree with emmatmg - having 3 boys is great . Whatever you have you will enjoy - and it's too late to change it now anyway !

nailpolish · 08/11/2004 12:43

2 different pregnancies - 2 girls

think 2nd was different cos didnt have time to think about it sometimes (what with a 2 yr old) and i was much more confident and laid back
