Come tell me how you felt before your labour started!

Currently 38 weeks and 5 days with baby #2. Baby #1 was an induction so I never got to the point of waiting for labour to start naturally.
I feel like I've had every 'sign' of labour for nearly a week, except contractions and waters breaking.

How did you feel in the 24 hours before you went into labour?

DC1 - I started nesting. Cleaning glasses, polishing silver. It was all on my list of things to do but it gave me such immense satisfaction, I knew it was odd. Next day woke with period type pain.

DC2 - nothing, just waters breaking, then braxton hicks type contractions but every 5 mins on the dot.

Nothing really. I woke up at 4.30 with electric shock pains which got worst until my waters broke 14 hours later.

Completely normal.

Had bloody show in the morning both times. Then started having contractions late afternoon both times.

DS1 38 weeks. Went to bed about 10pm with an achey back. Realised I was having pains. Got up about 1.30pm feeling like I needed to go to the loo. Then decided I would have a shower with hot water directed at my back. As I was taking my nightie off my waters broke on the bathroom floor and DH - who had got up to see what I was doing. Went to hospital about 5am. DS born at 2ish.
