Expecting twins early next yearSmile! Very excited but already have a DD who will be just 22 months when they arrive - we will have our hands full!

Parents of Twins - please tell me your must have items and tips!

E.g Best double pram, sling/carrier, accessories?
Whether you can pop them in same next to me crib etc? How on earth you manage everyday tasks like the food shop (I guess it'll be online for me from now on!)

It's quite a daunting world having 3 under 3!

(Don't even get me started on cars - hardly any seem to fit 3 baby seats across the back row!).

I'm all ears so please, fire away. Thanks all x

Most things the same as a singleton but double of.
We got a Ford s max, lots of room for 3 carseats across the middle row. We've had ours 6.5 years now and it's serving us well. We had a zeta vooom double stroller which was great, got the single for this baby. Our twins shared a cot-bed from birth, they did also co-sleep with me a lot in the early days. We got a massive play mat without toy bars for tummy time. If formula feeding different coloured bottles so you can keep track of who has had what. Travel cot with bassinet layer for downstairs, our new one has a fold away changing mat, mobile and nappy storage too.

Congratulations!
My dd just turned 5 when twins were born.
It’s weird what tips people give you with any pregnancy, but the best thing we did from 2 weeks was I went to be at 10 -4am. He stayed downstairs with the twins and did the night shift. He went to bed 4-10am. You can go to bed, shattered from the day and know you can sleep 6 whole hours without being woken AND you have new born twins! Obviously could only do this when they went from boob to bottle (I wasn’t making enough milk, best thing for me anyway going to bottles).
Always feed at the same time otherwise you will be feeding constantly. Wake the other and feed in the night etc. If you don’t the other will wake within the hour anyway.
Cannot remember the name of our pushchair but it was great and from birth. So easy to put up and down, think it was city something... DP picked it, we went to a huge mothercare so he could work out the best one.
We got a new Ford Focus but tbf we only needed a booster seat in the middle for dd but there was plenty of room.
To feed together put in bouncers next to each other and sit in front.
Ours would never sleep in same bed, ds would look annoyed with dd from birth 🤣, although he actually dotes on her, obviously doesn’t like sharing his sleep space!
Probably get totally shot down for this - get dummy’s! I think they would night feed now without them!
With dd1 I did every night feed throughout. Sleep deprivation is actual torture. I still think about how I had newborn twins and I could sleep all night! Crazy but amazing! We only did it for a few weeks then put them to bed at 7, did feeds in between.
