Hi ladies, me again๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚

From Tuesday I've been having period type cramps on and off and ALOT of lighting crotch and I mean ALOT! Yesterday morning i woke up and had to run to the loo and i had loose stools but nothing after that. That evening I experienced more cramping which was more painful than I've had over the last few days. Around 2am I had to run to the loo again and it was just awful! No more diarrhoea but still cramping here and there and I've just had to vomit. I'm keeping myself hydrated throughout the day due to this heatwave we are having but I just feel so meh๐Ÿ˜” not myself at all. I feel so down in the dumps. If it's a stomach bug what would you recommend to take for it? Or should I just keep drinking water and resting? X

Period type cramps, lightening and diarrhea can all be signs of labour approaching so just continue to monitor your symptoms. I doubt the heat is helping especially if you are vomiting as well but if you have any concerns then I would contact your midwife and see what she thinks. Definitely keep drinking the water and rest up! Hope you feel better soon Flowers

sunshinecitrus1 Oh flip really? I thought I'd have weeks left ๐Ÿ™ˆ I'll keep an eye on things. I cant get enough of iced water atm so I'm ok hydration wise. Thank you. I thought I'd caught a rough stomach bug as I just feel so rubbish. Xx

I had a poorly tummy a couple of weeks ago and quite honestly felt dreadful!

I just had to sit it out :( fortunately not in a heatwave!

Keep drinking, dioralyte is okay to take too to replenish any salts and if youโ€™re still working Iโ€™d be saying itโ€™s a tummy bug rather than anything pregnancy related so youโ€™re not forced onto early mat leave!

Obviously monitor and speak to your maternity assessment centre if you feel worse :(

I hope you feel better soon x

Contact your maternity centre. This could be anything. They may want to do a dip test and check you over. Please give the professionals the chance to decide if you need to be seen.

What Cat said you need advice from your midwife. Do not leave it.

Hope you are ok and have had some medical advice.

Poppyyoung18 · 24/07/2021 20:09

I'm doing ok thank you. Yes I found the midwife and she didnt seem overly concerned. She said it could be my body starting to prepare for labour, so advice was to rest and make sure I'm hydrated. But havent had anything since..typical that lol xx

I was up one morning from about 4.30 with a dodgy tummy and feeling off when I was close to dd. I had hoped it was the start of labour, but it, annoyingly, came to nothing!

I hope you feel better soon!
