Larger ladies 4d scans

I've had 2 attempts at a 4d scan without properly getting to see babies face (feet/hands/cord in face or up against the placenta) and I'm starting to worry if my high 40+ bmi is causing the problems and the sonographer is trying to let me down gently

I've never have problems with scans before, for example all checks at my 20 week scan were done easily with no issues but I'm just scared of being disappointed at my third attempt on Saturday.

Can anyone reassure me that I should be able to see baby, with bonus points for your own 4d scan pictures?

Thanks xx

Hi @scanjam so I'm a similar bmi to you, it took 2 attempts at the 4d scan for me. Mainly because cord and her hands etc were constantly in front of her face. This is the best picture we got, to give you some idea

Oh that's actually not a bad photo at all! Thanks so much :)

My little girl puts everything she can in her face as soon as the scan starts so I can only hope she doesn't do it again on Saturday!
