Hi Everyone

I’m a FTM currently 17+ 3 and im just wondering when do we need to start buying things for the baby or when did other people start buying things?

I’ve seen some bottles on offer but I didn’t know if it was too soon…

Thank you xxx

Buy whenever you’re ready ❤️ There’s no rule and I think it’s the best thing to go with your own gut and when you feel ready to start buying x

Hey @Nic2020 17+4 here, hello! Congratulations on your Christmas baby! First pregnancy for me so following your thread with interest. x

I did after the 20 week scan 😊

Awww congratulations @dorothygaleandtoto I know Christmas babies or at least that’s the plan! Haha

Have you started buying anything yet or organising anything? I’m struggling to decide on the nursery theme.. it feels like there is so much to do! 🙈

Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm 16+1 today and we already have

  • travel system (to be fair it was on sale at a good price or we wouldn't have bought it so early!)
  • bottle set with steriliser etc
  • bouncer
And just other little bits. We haven't bought any clothes yet though!

We're in the middle of moving house and just want to get everything sorted and done before I'm heavily pregnant, so trying to be as organised as possible!

@HforHavana congratulations!! I don’t blame you for buying things early if they are on sale!

I have decided to buy a bottle set that was on sale this afternoon, I have my 20 week scan i august and I decided I can take it back if need be…

Once I can go full force buying things it’s going to be so exciting! Xz

@Nic2020 No, we haven't bought anything yet, but I have had a few offers of hand-me-downs from friends and family which will be very gratefully received - I am not precious about having everything new. We aren't going to find out the sex of the baby, so that ought to stop me from buying every cute pink/blue thing I see too!!

I’m 34+5 don’t leave it till last minute like mine because you’ll see all the august predicted babies being born early and it will full on panic you Grin

MikeWozniaksGloriousTache · 21/07/2021 17:25

One thing I have learned from friends / family. Don’t take tags off and wash ALL the newborn clothes straight away. Start with a few from newborns / 0-3 because if you have a chunky baby and they don’t fit the newborn stuff you can’t take it back Grin
