Early scan advice

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice and hopefully reassurance!

I had an early scan yesterday due to previous miscarriages and measuring at approx 6 weeks! The gestational sac and yolk sac were visible but no fetal pole or heartbeat. I can't help but think the shape of the gestational sac doesn't look right! Has anyone had similar?

Did you ask the person doing the scan?

Really try not to over analyze it, you were most likely just a week too early. I know it’s such an anxious time though! Have you got another one booked?

@Garman I did ask the person doing the scan and she didn’t really say too much! I find they are very vague and skirt around the questions.

@sarah13xx thank you. Yes I have another scan booked for next Friday! I’ve had 4 miscarriages and had 1 last cycle so the scan was to try and date me! You are right I should try not to over analyse everything it’s just so hard when every pregnancy has ended in miscarriage. I guess only time will tell.

@Coxy88 oh I’m so sorry, my friend is going through the same thing right now, it’s so hard and unfair 😞 but she will get there and so will you, this time! Fingers crossed for some good news next Friday, I think it’s just 50/50 whether you see a heartbeat or not when it’s so early, sometimes early scans cause more worry than they help I think
