Hello everyone last night / this morning it must of happened 2-3 times my baby started rapidly kicking very quickly and hard it didn't last very long each time but it made me worry I was either sleeping in an uncomfortable position. For him ( don't even know if that's possible) or if he was stressed I've done the "google" thing and as you can imagine it's worried me a bit he's moving around fine this morning since but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this at 30 weeks?

Just go to your local hospital and get them to check you over. No one will mind, much better to check and be safe! No harm done by being cautious!

My DS's are 13 and 11 now so it's a long time since I have felt 'baby movements' however DS 1 was a very active night time baby - I called him Disco Dave. I would spend a couple of hours a few times a week just laying awake during the night while he jumped about so hopefully it's just a sign that your baby is growing and is active. Maybe it's because your quiet and still and he is taking the opportunity to try out his limbs. As ever though give your midwife a call to discuss it if you're worried - especially if Dr Google has put other ideas in your head.

I do sometimes have to turn onto my other side when I first get into bed because I can almost feel him under me (he’s so far round to one side sometimes, he’s right at the side of my bump). I don’t know whether it would do him any harm but I just move anyway so I’m not squashing him 🙈 If you’re worried about any changes in movements give them a call and they’ll reassure you.

I had this at about 27 weeks — baby was just absolutely wild one evening. Total party in there. I’d had a slightly weird, low fever for about half an hour that afternoon so to be on the safe I called the MAU for advice. The midwife wasn’t worried at all but she also stressed that I’d done the right thing in calling to ask.
