Non-Alcoholic Beer

Hi Everybody,

I'm currently 12 week's pregnant and with the hot weather we've been having really fancied an ice cold beer. I had a couple of bottles of Becks Blue, which I enjoyed but then panicked when it states on the back 0.05% alcohol.

Are Becks Blue ok to drink during pregnancy? I am a worrier over the slightest thing 😳

Thank you 😊

Orange juice has the same amount of natural alcohol, it's fine.

that's what I had to have with DD - the morning sickness was so bad only the taste of beer could help.

weirdly enough as I seldom drink and I don't like beer!🤣

I didn't care about it being flat so I'd just have little sip throughout the day. started with one bottle/day, then 2, the at the peak I upped it to 4. the whole Blue Becks phase was less then 6 weeks though, as soon the morning sickness was over I dropped it.
I never worried about alcohol content because it's negligible.

And for about 3 weeks, for the end of my very last pg I had a bottle of Bulmers every night. it's 4% alcohol IIRC. I couldn't care less at that point.
I was in constant pain from PSD and ligaments cramps and that little bit of alcohol helped me relax.
I didn't want to take tons of painkillers as I figured that such a small amount of alcohol was still better than living on co-codamol.
plus it was crazy hot (he was born on the hottest day of that year!) and it tasted nice and I just wanted a treat.

I didn't fancy alcohol at all with the other so I regret nothing

Thank you for your reply 😊

My morning sickness has been bad too, last night as soon as I got home from work I threw up because I could smell my husband cooking his dinner...burgers 🤢

I'm sure it's fine, but to reassure you there are non alcoholic beers which are 100% non alcoholic (and better than Becks Blue too). Stella's is one, but there are quite a few.
