Is it possible to take the morning after pill, have a very light period and then be pregnant? Or would I of caught on the next ovulation?
The next ovulation works out 1 week ago but the clear blue how many weeks test says 3+ so I'm thinking the morning after pill didn't work.. although I thought it did because of the light period I had 4 days after taking it?

Me and my husband have taken the weekend to get our heads around it and we are now actually excited to be having our third child..
Just not sure on how I work out how many weeks I am as 3+ could mean anything!

If your ovulation was only a week ago and you're showing 3+ either you were caught on your previous period or your ovulation dares are wrong.

For what it's worth I was in the middle of IVF and had a very very light period...just a little bit of spotting and I put it down to the IVF meds. Turned out it wasn't a period but implantation period and I didn't realise I was pregnant til I was about 7 weeks.

So it sounds like you may have had an implantation bleed too. I am glad you're now excited though...congrats!

I'd say this relates to when you took the MAP - so you spoke be 5-6 week or more pregnant by now - it's not very well publicised but the MAP is not very effective at all if taken after ovulation

Thanks both. Midwife said to go from the light period and then best case scenario the '12 week scan' will be 14-15 weeks, otherwise I'll be around 12. So I'll just go with that! I do think your probably right about the MAP though! It's not very effective lol

I would push for an earlier scan if you want the screening as I believe they can only do this until 14 weeks

@boymum88 oh really I didn't realise this! I will call the midwife back tomorrow and ask her! Thank you
