Just that really! I'm currently 37+6 and have read that most babies are born at night so got me wondering what time most people's labours started.

Midnight.. waters broke and contractions started about half hour later.. kind of knew it was coming as the mucus plug had been coming out!

Mammma91 · 19/07/2021 20:44

I went into labour at 5am and gave birth at 8:17am. I also had a good few hours sleep beforehand 🥳

AdelindSchade · 19/07/2021 20:47

Waters broke midnight. Contractions started about 4am I think then born 10pm the next evening.

2306IRW · 19/07/2021 20:47

Contractions started around 4:30pm DD was born at 9:25pm x very quick for a first one apparently?!

moonlight1705 · 19/07/2021 20:48

1pm on the Thursday then born at 6.50am Sunday.

JudyKnowsBest · 19/07/2021 20:52

DC1: 5:30am exactly - born at 4:10am the next day
DC2: 5:30am exactly again - born at 4:10pm the same day. They both weighed exactly the same as well (11lb 2oz) both were sections.

Other than that nowt alike Grin

Michellebops · 19/07/2021 20:53

7.15am, 5 minutes after partner left for work 🙈
Baby born 9.38am next day by emcs

edin16 · 19/07/2021 21:00

Contractions started around midnight, no coming on slowly, they started at every 10 minutes. Waters went 20 hours later. 24 hours after that I was taken into hospital to get things sped up, DS born the next morning. So baby born 56 hours after contractions started.

hellcatspangle · 19/07/2021 21:00

My first was induced but with the second my waters broke at 11pm, about ten minutes after I'd got into bed. DH had spent hours working on a work presentation for the next day and just settled down with a whisky....had to pour it back in the bottle and whisk me off to hospital (gave birth at 6.30am)

Kdubs1981 · 19/07/2021 21:14

12.30am, first twinge. Contractions started coming thick and fast after that. Born at 4.30am same day

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 19/07/2021 21:19

Around 8pm, gentle start though. He was born at 9am.

Kimblebee19 · 19/07/2021 21:20

11.30pm - woke up in labour, DS born 6.35am. Home by 12.20pm next morning. The same again this time would be great, DS would hardly miss me!

Chanel05 · 19/07/2021 21:24

Woke up to contractions at 6.30am.

Daughter born 3pm the following day.

greatestdancer · 19/07/2021 21:24

Highlandmama · 19/07/2021 21:36

Waters went 02:30am. Born 04:30am exactly the next day! Reading with interest as currently 39 weeks pregnant with No.2!

StepladderToHeaven · 19/07/2021 21:39

DC1 - 5pm
DC2 - 10pm
DC3 - 7pm

KittenKong · 19/07/2021 21:39

Well newsnight had just started...

KittenKong · 19/07/2021 21:40

I think most babies are born at night/wee small hours. I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

florentina1 · 19/07/2021 21:41

First at midday, second 2.45 am, third 8.30 after 40 minutes labour. All of mine came early so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

CustardGoodJamGoodMeatGood · 19/07/2021 21:45

12am after a grand total of 20 minutes sleep, she was born 8 hours later. My waters had already gone in the morning so I was on my ball for ages trying to get things started before I went to sleep, DD was awkward all the way through and still is now and kindly waited until I'd just nodded off

RuthW · 19/07/2021 21:46

7.20pm. She was born at 5.06pm the next day.

PinkPurpleParade · 19/07/2021 21:46

3am Thursday with DD, contractions every 10 mins, then every 5, then every 3... For two full days. She was born 3pm Saturday!

sarah13xx · 19/07/2021 21:48

So many seem to be late at night/early morning. My best friend was midnight and another friend 7.30am. I’m having a planned section so really don’t want it to happen early.. the people with 4 hour labours are terrifying me in case I don’t make it in time 😂

gingerninja99 · 19/07/2021 21:50

1st - Labour started 3am, baby born 2:57am 2 days later
2nd - Labour started at 9pm, baby born 4:02 the following morning

LouNatics · 19/07/2021 21:51

Just after lunch, around 1.10pm, baby was out in 90 mins
Evening, just after 7pm, baby was out in 2 hours 45 mins, slower than the first one because back to back.
Just before lunch, around 11am, baby out by midday.
