Feeling sick if not constantly eating!

Hi!
I started off with morning sickness almost everyday for my 5th and 6th weeks pregnant! It has seemed to calm down now a lot (nearing the end of my 7th week) but I have found myself getting extremely hungry and needing a lot more food than normal! I also have found if I am not eating I feel more sick! I'm just wondering if anyone else had experienced this?

Hello MamDraig3 (ace name!)

I was like this from week 5 to around week 8. Im now on week 10 and nausea has definitely calmed down - im not eating half as much. So try not to worry, I'm sure it will be the same for you too! :)

Yep seems pretty normal!
Little and often tends to keep nausea away!
Congrats Thanks

I did and made the mistake of thinking it was hunger and ate constantly!

It was there whether I ate or not, it was nausea not hunger.

So eventually I realised that once I had eaten and definitely was not hungry I just had to stop myself from eating! It’s hard, I know. All the best.

This is literally me and I am just over 12 weeks. Eating seems to be the only thing to help curb the nausea, and has done for the past few weeks!

To try and keep my food intake under control still, I have been eating little and often, rather than having my 3x meals a day plus the snacking. Trying to balance it all out x

Yup! This was exactly the same for me! If I didn't eat it would go from feeling sick to being sick. Unfortunately still the same now at almost 19 weeks although I can go longer between needing to eat now and it's mostly just in the morning when I first get so much easier to deal with. I found I didn't need to eat a bug amount quarter of a biscuit worked so I just broke my biscuit down into 4 bites and ate it as and when I got to the point I was starting to feel sick again. Between 9 and and 15 weeks I was having to have something every half an hour and was limited on what other food I could eat as had lots of food aversions that would trigger my sickness. Most meals were something I could pick at over a period of time rather than being able to eat it in one go :)

Yes, I had the same. I would start the day off with a dry slice of toast and go from there, topping up when I felt too sick. I tried foods / drinks with ginger and that helped a bit. Thank God it went away at some point, I can’t remember when exactly.

I'm very similar, I'm 7+3 and feeling nauseous whenever I feel hungry. I wouldn't have had a huge appetite before being pregnant so wouldn't feel it if I had fruit for breakfast or a salad for lunch, but I'm absolutely starving now every hour or so and feeling quite sick with the hunger. I'm hoping it's only temporary and I'm trying to just snack instead of eating big portions!

Oh yes!!! I had to eat every hour or felt hideously sick! Weirdest sick feeling EVER.
Nairn's Ginger oat biscuits were my saviour.
A lot of people find the travel sickness bands helpful but I just stuck to the biscuits!!!

Oh god this sounds like me ! I had hypermesis (so?) and was on cariban from week 8/9 until I had a section at 39 weeks . I was so sick but instead of losing wait , I put on FOUR stone Blush
I had to eat constantly and I mean constantly.
Not even healthy food , all I craved was was junk food and ate morning till night .
My first pregnancy I was sick only for 3 months but survived on crackers and dry cereal . Only put on a stone and lost it within 6 weeks naturally .
Am still trying to lose wait nearly 4 years on from last pregnancy- have one stone left to shift !

I have no advice as I couldn’t stop eating or the sickness would come but just thought I’d share my story 🤣

Good luck with the pregnancy Flowers
