Hello everyone,

Can anyone calm me down, please. I'm currently 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I'm a serial tester as I experienced an early miscarriage at the beginning of this year.

I test with the Internet cheapies that you can get off Amazon.

So far I've always had dye stealers, but today
I noticed that the pregnancy line and control line are the same strength. I tested at several times during the day as well.

I'm worrying myself sick. Does this mean my hormone level is going down and I'm miscarrying again? Please help 😢

The hook effect. If you dilute your urine you will get a stronger line, but that ultimately means it’s time to stop testing. I know it’s hard having a miscarriage before, but you’re only going to get mixed results from now on when testing which is going to stress you out.

Agree with the above posters. I wrote a post about this around 28 weeks ago when the hook effect happened to me too. (Now 36 weeks pregnant and going well!)

But you need to stop testing! It's hard but as long as you're not heavily bleeding take it as a positive!♥️ congrats!!

No please try not to worry. I (stupidly) tested the other week when I was about 7 weeks as I had one spare FRER left and thought why not. The test line was lighter than when I tested at around 5 weeks. Just had a scan at 9 weeks and baby wriggling away.

Best to stop testing and get some support for your anxiety and perhaps an early reassurance scan. Good luck 🤞🏻

Thanks, everyone. I'll stop testing now - the clearblue test still shows 3+ weeks, which is a good sign, I suppose?

I talked to my partner about it and he said it's not scientific doing those pregnancy tests over and over again. I wish I could be as rational as him, but I suppose he's not the one who has to carry the baby.

I booked myself in for an early reassurance scan tomorrow at 6:45 pm. Will let you all know how it went xx

I had early bleeding at 5+4. Was told to test in a week and if still positive assume I’m still pregnant and go to my routine appointments.

Well crazy me tested EVERY day between 5+5 and 7+1 where I eventually paid for a private scan because I was making myself insane. My test lines were pretty faint in comparison to what they had been. I trawled forums and saw all these posts about people’s tests getting darker. Convinced myself I’d miscarried. I’m now 17 weeks and all looking good.

All those tests can tell you is there is hcg in your system. They don’t measure how pregnant you are

Pointless testing after 6wk, home tests are no indicator of pregnancy viability

Scan went well and baby looked fine and had a heartbeat. 😊

They put me on 7 weeks and 1 day whereas according to my calculations I should be 7 weeks and 4 days.

Sonographer said that's completely normal though.

I will definitely stop taking pregnancy tests now as I will drive myself crazy! 😁

Totally normal for dates to differ afew days! May change again at your 12 week scan, go with what your giving then.

Hi everyone,
im hoping to get some help to stop my crazy head from working and thinking other possible problems. I recently found out I’m Pregnant. Based on LMP I should be 7 weeks 3 days as of today. But I’ve had 2 ultrasounds ( 1 while 5 weeks as I started cramping and bleeding ) with no visible anything. Yesterday was my official ob gyn appt and again nothing was visible. A little background story as to why I’m so confused with this situation. Back in May 2024, I was taking to emergency via ambulance as I kept fainting and not feeling well. As I turned out I was pregnant and did not know. I was informed at hospital that I had an ectopic pregnancy and my right fallopian tube had ruptured. Now I’m considered high risk pregnancy. Doctor just keep telling me it might be too soon to to find a gs or fetal pole. My hcg levels were also a concern at first since it ranged from 242,236,589 and 2921. Had to repeat labs again and now my number is at 19,991 which is higher than when I had my ectopic. I was just wondering if anyone had ever gone thru something like this where the numbers were high and everything is good but can’t find a gs or anything like that. Please help..
