Wondering if anyone knows anything about this? First off I was stupid and flustered and didn’t ask the DR yesterday what all this means really just took it for face value and now I’ve woken up and read my notes from the night before I have questions (typical me).
Im 33 weeks pregnant and was sent to the triage unit by my community midwife yesterday because I was getting awful lower stomach pains, like I’m the bottom of my bump and just feeling light headed in general, so I went up to get checked over, they dipped my urine and showed traces of protein and leukocytes (my urine that was dipped the day before by my midwife was normal) also my blood pressure was on the higher side, think it was 145/70 so the DR said to have bloods because they’re concerned it’s preeclampsia, also during this time I was hooked up the monitor go check if baby was okay, they were happy with the monitoring, her heartbeat was really up and down but they said that was normal and she was having a quiet moment too but she picked up after I had food.
Anyway they came back about 2 hours later saying that my bloods seem normal but my urine still isn’t as I had to give another sample later on and they sent it off to get checked, they checked my blood pressure again and it was still higher than average at 138/75 so it was coming down but they weren’t concerned at that point, they gave my antibiotics for a suspected urine infection (cefalexin) and I’ll find out in 3 days what the lab have said about my urine and if it a urine infection.
They also did my blood pressure once more before I left and it went down to 126/80 (bare in mind my blood pressure the day before was 110/70 and my urine was clear, this was at a midwife appointment). Anyways my point, sorry, is do I have preeclampsia? Because I’ve had the 2 markers plus ridiculously swollen feet and hands but my bloods ‘seem’ normal she didn’t say they are she said they seem it which just sends my anxiety into a spiral (sorry FTM and suffer awful with anxiety) I have to have my blood pressure taken every 2 days now by my midwife to make sure it stays down and to keep an eye on my feet and hands and like I said I was given antibiotics for the protein in my urine but I’ve had the 2 markers and just a bit stressed about it now, sorry I don’t know the point of this post now 😂 anyone been in this situation and all been okay? Not actually ended up being preeclampsia and just a suspected UTI?
