12+3 and still no scan date

Hi all,

I'm now 12+3 and still haven't received a date for my first NHS scan! I had my booking appointment Tuesday just gone and she said I would have a letter soon but still nothing! I don't want to be a pain contacting people when things are pretty manic at the moment so wanted to see if this was fairly normal? If not I'll contact the hospital to see!

I called at 10 weeks after my booking appointment at 8 weeks and they told me my scan date over the phone, which wasn’t until 13+4. I then mysteriously received a letter a couple of days after the phone call, so I think they just forgot to send it out!

Do you have Badger notes? I didn't get a letter but saw it appear in Badger notes for week 13 for me

Give them a call, don’t worry about being a pain! Your “12 week” scan should be between 11-14 weeks (especially if you’re wanting antenatal screening tests done) so ring ASAP as you could be further along than you think. For reference I got my appointment letter through about a month in advance

Thanks everyone for your advice! Yep I have BadgerNotes and nothing has appeared yet so I will give them a call on Monday to see if everything has been referred through to the hospital ok. Thanks 😊
