4D Scans….

So I had a 4D scan done on my little girl as a birthday treat and I’m quite gutted at family and friends reactions. 😔 I didn’t think the pics were tooooo bad (I know they can be scary sometimes! 🤣) but my partners reaction was ‘Urgh!’ (He wasn’t interested in getting it done anyway) and my mum was also ‘urgh’…and my friends seemed to be polite but said they are bizarre?! I was so excited about getting it done and I feel hurt that not only are they not particularly supportive but borderline offensive. 💔 Has anyone else had these sort of reactions?

How disappointing for you OP. I loved getting my 4D scan, it was amazing seeing my baby’s face for the first time. These are actually really good images that show baby clearly so I’m surprised you got that reaction from people. All I can say is just try not to let their reactions get to you, you have a beautiful baby OP x

I don't know why people are saying ugh?? They're beautiful! Much clearer than mine, I'd be really chuffed with them, ignore those saying stupid things! Congratulations 🎉

Don't worry op.
I was beyond excited when I got my baby's 4D pics and absolutely loved them.
I sent them to my mum and her comment was 'I hope the baby won't look like that when they are born!' and she said baby's face looked scary and deformed. Well what do people expect? It's still a scan ffs... On the other hand my MIL loved them and even put it in the photo frame to display.

Your photos aren’t too bad but overall I find 4D scans are a bit creepy. I had a private scan last week and they gave me a 4D “sneak peak”, and almost all of the photos from the scan are 4D. They’re so scary! It’s like I’m carrying Voldemort

I’d try not to be offended - it’s not likely to be anything to do with your baby specifically, but just that the idea; and often the execution, is weird.

Those are lovely pics @C4SKI! We had one a couple of weeks ago and they struggled to get good images so I was disappointed. Yours are great! Xx

Aw… I don’t think they ever look good personally. But if you love them that’s the main thing!

I find the 4D ones a bit creepy personally, even when it’s my own kid! But I would never say that to someone’s face! Surely the only response is ‘oh how cute!’

Aw, they’re so cute! It’s so lovely to see facial features in a bit more detail so you can start to see who she looks more like! It’s sad the reactions you’ve gotten, I’d be hurt too x

I think you've got lovely 4d pictures 😍 and it's always special getting to see their face like that. This is mine at 16 weeks 🤔😅
