I am 35 weeks today and struggling massively with constipation and trapped wind, it's making me so uncomfortable as if I wasn't uncomfortable enough!

Anyone know what can I do or take to help?

To add, I'v also been suffering from haemorrhoids since very early in my pregnancy, was prescribed cream which iv applied every day but hasn't helped in the slightest! Im so worried about how much worse they're going to get in these last few weeks

You could try Ispaghula husk sachets, 1-2 per day to keep you regular. This would really help with constipation in a gentle way. Peppermint tea for the trapped wind would be good too. Trying to have a little walk each day even if you're really uncomfortable.
No advice on the haemorrhoids sorry. Good luck! Not long to go!

Contact your GP, they may prescribe you some stool softeners etc. I've been on lactulose since March and I don't think I'd survived without it. You'd need to do everything you can to avoid being constipated as this will make your hemorrhoids flare up. Review your diet too, ensure plenty of fruit, veg, whole grains and water. Keep active as this helps both with digestion and circulation

Lots and lots of water, peppermint tea, dried apricots and prunes. I’m 35 weeks and drinking about 4 litres of water a day as well as eating about 6 dried apricots and making sure all my meals are made mostly veggies.
Take a 30 minute walk in the evening, it really helps move things & also look into some yoga poses to help with wind.
The heat won’t be helping! Xx

Weetabix weetabix and more weetabix! I have two every morning and night just now (37 weeks) and I’m certain it’s the only thing that’s helping 🙈

High fibre drinks like fybogel. Lots of water. Lots of fruit and veg.
