Hi my 8 day old (who has been losing stools a lot since birth) hasn't lost a stool for 24 hours. He is eating normally, weeing loads and not in discomfort as far as I can see. He had a urine and blood tests done the other day and they all come back fine.... I changed his milk yesterday so I think it could be that. Anyone had any similar experiences? Thank you in advance Smile

Formula or breast feeding?

It can vary loads in the early days. Usually as long as baby is still doing plenty of wet nappies, poops are less of a concern. Changing the milk may be contributing. Obviously if you’re worried just call the midwife. Congratulations OP x

Changing formula can constipate them a little bit so it could be that.

Yes speak to your midwife if at all worried.

If they're wetting nappies and seem otherwise comfortable I wouldn't worry. It's if they're showing signs of discomfort/straining/not peeing that I would start to worry.
