There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@ItsAlice sounds so frustrating 😩 rant away! lol hear to help! That must be so difficult why don't u google some healthy meals to eat with the % of fat u need ? X

Bluebell88 · 09/08/2021 21:02

@Laurenxx94 so glad your tests have been positive today. Keeping everything crossed for you.

@ItsAlice that sounds so awful! Pregnancy symptoms are bad enough without gallstones on top, hope you manage to find some meals you can enjoy!

We’ve just been for our early scan and we saw the heartbeat, it was amazing to see, I’m a FTM so this is all so new to me! It was a huge relief and hopefully will keep my anxiety at bay….for now anyway! 😃

Good luck to all those having scans this week!

Amazing @Bluebell88 great scan! Congratulations again xx

ItsAlice · 09/08/2021 21:20

Ahh @Bluebell88 what a beautiful image! So glad it went well - how many weeks do they think you are??

Thanks @Laurenxx94 I’m pretty good at healthy meal prep (I got the gallstones by loosing 5 stone) it’s just with the morning sickness I just want plain bland dry food if that makes sense! I’m eating a lot of salad/pasta/couscous/soup at the moment but it’s such a challenge to make myself eat with the nausea and anxiety. I’ve already lost half a stone since I got pregnant which I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want me to be doing. I did mention it but got told I need to wait to speak to the gastro so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Oh well, I’m in bed merrily watching love island (šŸ™ˆ) and eating a dry bagel, when I wake up I’ll be a day closer to my scan and some reassurance!!!

Bluebell88 · 09/08/2021 21:23

@ItsAlice thanks, they’ve dated me 6+3 which is basically what I thought I was based on when I got my positive OPK.

Laurenxx94 · 09/08/2021 21:53

Must be so frustrating @ItsAlice ā¤ļø
Oh and how good is LOVE ISLAND?!?! Who's your favourite xx

bubblepond · 09/08/2021 22:16

@Bluebell88 congratulations! Must be so great to see it on that screen :) 3 weeks today until our scan and I can't wait

@Laurenxx94 so pleased for you the tests were positive today, hope your scan goes well tomorrow!

We just had a takeaway, think I overate and threw up, think it was the amount of food and pregnancy combined! Never felt so uncomfortable after overeating but the good news is I think I've been put off takeaways for a while!

ItsAlice · 09/08/2021 22:17

Ooh @Bluebell88 that’s interesting, I’ll be 6+5 when I have my scan on Friday (it’s a clomid baby and we had follicle tracking scans the month we got pregnant so those dates are 99% spot on) so I’m hoping that I get a similar good view and outcome!

@Laurenxx94 it’s my guilty pleasure! I do love liberty and Jake but also like Millie - it’s the girls I like more than the boys this year! What about you?

Laurenxx94 · 09/08/2021 22:26

@bubblepond thankyou! Hope your not too sick 😩

@ItsAlice I absolutely love Teddy and Faye they're my favourites 😳xx

Smiling124 · 09/08/2021 23:07

Hi @ItsAlice, I'm joining you in a clomid baby, I wish they had scanned me, just blood tests for me!

I had gal stones pre pregnancy (all 9 removed) and I had 6 months of your Pain! My suggestion is to get some sweets for energy like fruitella chews and the like. I was a teacher surviving on them to get me through the day, no fat just sugar! I promise the pain goes instantly when they remove!

Morning ladies 😬 how r we all? I had a slight red bleed as quick as anything last night so basically I'm too scared to have sex due to previous miscarriages. We had a little "play" and I orgasmed ... I then bled straight after ( weird ) not a lot but just some fresh red and disappeared within a minute. Hoping it's related to that and not anything else still have really sore boobs so will explain my concerns at my scan at 9.30

@Kipkay35 I really am so pleased for you must be such a relief off your shoulders. Massive congratulations ā¤ļøā¤ļø

bubblybrit · 10/08/2021 09:12

Morning ladies. Congrats to those that have had their first scans and been able to see the little one šŸ˜€ I’m a nervous wreck this week as my scan isn’t until Saturday but I’m desperate to know if everything is ok after a previous MMC! Was tempted to pull it forward but the only time the clinic has is on Thursday at 840pm. Time doesn’t work as I’ll have toddler whilst DH is working 😬

Dyra · 10/08/2021 09:39

Hope your scan goes well @Laurenxx94.

MyMabel · 10/08/2021 09:44

Oh gosh I’m so jealous of everyone having early scans. If he so tempted to book one but I can’t seem to fit one in this month then my 12 week scan will be around 10th September anyway!

I’ve got my bloods on Friday and I’ve never really been nervous of blood tests but this time I’m really quite nervy! I think because my midwife is still working with the same student midwife who blew my vein last time and took a few attempts to get it right. I’m sure she’s had lots of practice since and I really don’t mind being a guinea pig for her but just remembering being poked and prodded lots last time makes me feel a bit queasy now!

Thankfully she did a better job of the midwife who put a cannula in for me who went through the other side of my vein and my arm was pouring blood for ages, had a great big horrible bruise right up my forearm for a couple weeks!

Just reminding myself that none of it was painful or bad, just a bit of a faff and a bit queamish šŸ˜‚

@Laurenxx94 I can sympathise with being too scared to have sex, I’ve had no previous trauma but the two times we have done it since I found out I’m pregnant I’ve had painful cramping so I’m waiting until after my 12 week scan before trying again, helps that I have no drive for it anyway between the nausea and exhaustion!
Hopefully for you it wasn’t anything untoward, hope all goes well for your scan xx

When do you get your bloods taken I haven't been asked to come in yet, although I haven't had my proper midwife call appointment yet so maybe il hear them šŸ¤” xx

Is having sex something we should be careful of? I haven't thought about it at all and we still have sex fairly regularly. Xx

Dyra · 10/08/2021 10:30

I can also sympathise. Unfortunately bleeding during sex was the first indication something was wrong with my first pregnancy. Atm it feels like if I have so much as a sensual thought, it guarantees some pink spotting. Poor DH is very neglected right now.

Finally taken the first step towards a booking appointment. Phoned the GP after the midwives didn't pick up again. Turns out they've changed the protocol, so the GP is the initial point of contact. No wonder the midwives weren't picking up. Phone call is next Tuesday. This might be the booking appointment. Then I go in to the surgery itself to get my notes and make an appointment with the midwives. Definitely for bloods, but could be for the booking if it wasn't with the doctor.

Bluebell88 · 10/08/2021 10:33

@Gotu everything I’ve read says it’s completely safe but I’m a worrier and can’t help but panic about things. I’ve read that cramping after orgasm is normal but for me I’d rather avoid feeling that especially as it makes me worry.

Dyra · 10/08/2021 10:39

@Gotu As long as you're comfortable, there's no reason to abstain. As @Bluebell88 says, cramping is common. Also, because there's increased blood flow in the area, spotting is far more common. I had cramping during sex in my successful pregnancy, and bleeding in my unsuccessful one. I'm already pink spotting in this one, so imo better not to risk anything. I'm also plain not in the mood.

charley39 · 10/08/2021 10:54

Just received my scan date but still haven’t heard from community midwives yet? Getting worried as the scan letter says bloods needs to be done by 9 weeks so doesn’t leave me a lot of time? Anyone else had this?

Laurenxx94 · 10/08/2021 11:01

Just got scanned for about 20 mins. Was looking good then seen my cyst and seen another area with fluid could be nothing but could be ectopic. Need to come back tomorrow for bloods again and need to get a scan next week again god only knows what’s going on xxx

Laurenxx94 · 10/08/2021 11:02

@Dyra we didn't actually have sex I just orgasmed after some foreplay 🤢 even writing that is giving me the fear šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

MyMabel · 10/08/2021 11:52

@Gotu if you want the screenings done the first lot of bloods need to be done before 14 weeks gestation or the result is not accurate I believe. I wasn’t sure how far along I was in my first pregnancy due to irregular periods so I was sent for a scan ASAP as I could have been either 7 or 13/14 weeks along and may have missed the mark for the first screening test.
