There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?
@Nervyy I was 4+3 when I got a 2-3 and did the other one today at 5+3 and got a 3+ which was so reassuring! Know what you mean about time dragging and the scanxiety- I’ll be 6+5 when I have mine and am thinking of maybe another one at 10 weeks if I need the reassurance and am still pregnant at that point - it’s Ā£80 but that is worth it for the peace of mind and is a drop in the ocean compared to what we spent on fertility treatment! Are you thinking of doing another digital test? It’s such a minefield!

@Bluebell88 yes it’s exhausting hiding it on top of everything else isn’t it!!! We had the same with a family wedding for a weekend away which we went to the day I found out I was pregnant, I just blamed gallstones for not drinking and they accepted that but I think my mum is onto me. Might be easier if you pretend to be drinking g&t or something clear like that and get your partner to buy them? Maybe claim to have a big day at work on Monday so just have a couple of fake ones? Hope you manage to cover it up ok!!!
@ItsAlice I honestly don't know. I have a digital test left as I bought a 2 pack but feel like I'll just worry myself more if I take it and it's not progressed. Planning on telling immediate family on Friday when I'll be 5+6 so might take it Friday morning with FMU.
Had a couple of symptoms I think - heartburn, lower back pain, stomach feeling empty/sickly so I'm trying not to worry too much!
I know that right now I am pregnant, I have had no bleeding so whatever test I take will register pregnant even if something isn't right.. so there isn't much more I can find out from a test if you get me?
I am considering pushing my scan back from 6+5 but I don't know yet ..

Yay how exciting! Booked my early scan today, I'll be 9+5, august 30th 😊

Is anyone else feeling completely and utterly exhausted? I don’t remember feeling anywhere near this tired when I was pregnant with my DD 😬 mind you...DD is now a toddler so probably adding to the tiredness. I’ve also been a bit emotional today which isn’t like me at all. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow so keep thinking at least I’m halfway through the first trimester šŸ˜€

Bluebell88 · 04/08/2021 19:13

@bubblybrit
I’m so exhausted it’s crazy, I spent most of the evening in bed last night dozing from about 5:30pm - 8:30pm, had dinner and then when to bed again, today I could barely get out of bed and then had to have a nap after lunch! I’m a little nauseous at times and I’ve had the odd emotional meltdown too! I’m also 6 weeks tomorrow 😃

ItsAlice · 04/08/2021 19:34

Ah welcome and congratulations @GeorgiaMcGraw! There are a few of us (me included) who have had a MMC before and are living with the ridiculous anxiety and head games it causes so if you ever need to vent there are so many people who get it here! Does t help that the days just drag so much!!!

@Bancha welcome back, there were a few comments the other day about how symptoms fluctuate so much each day or day to day and the anxiety that causes so it’s not just you!! If you’ve got no spotting or bad cramps you are probably fine, and tomorrow may be completely different!

@Nervyy it’s such a head mess isn’t it! I’d say do it Friday and then it’s out the bathroom and done with. I’m defo not testing at all now. I hate it!! Used to be so much fun 🤩. Know what you mean about the symptoms, each day I’m feeling sicker (it seems to start after lunch for me, oddly I’ve got lots of energy in the morning and feel fine then, but now I’m knackered and queezy) so exciting that this time next month you’ll be about to see the midwife! Must feel so so real. I’ve only got a week and two days to my scan now which is so exciting, I’m like a very nervous kid in the run up to xmas….

charley39 · 04/08/2021 19:51

@bubblybrit tiredness is on another level! I also do not remember it being this bad before and that was working full time! DS has also decided he doesn’t want to sleep anymore so back to night time wakings and early starts so that’s really not helping!

Lotsalotsagiggles · 04/08/2021 20:20

Just found out this week and due end of March -
Scared and anxious

This is my 2nd one and my son is 3.5

I'm 38 in March, so does that make me a geriatric mother?

Sunbird24 · 04/08/2021 20:25

@Lotsalotsagiggles my mum was called a geriatric mother when she had me, she was 31… šŸ˜‚

Lotsalotsagiggles · 04/08/2021 20:41

@charley39 tiredness def is another level

I've slept so much today and missed a meeting at work

No idea how I'll Cope with a toddler when hubby works weekends

But we can do this and it's amazing!!

charley39 · 04/08/2021 20:58

@Lotsalotsagiggles congratulations! My son is also 3.5! Husband works shifts so does 4 on 2 days/2 nights so the nights are going to be a struggle I fear!
But as you say we will find a way!

bubblybrit · 04/08/2021 21:19

I’m really struggling with the exhaustion @Bluebell88. I’ve been signed off work due to sickness/nausea so have been able to nap during the day whilst my toddler is at nursery. However I’m due back at work next week and actually don’t know how I’ll cope 😬!

@charley39. That sounds really difficult. DD is a pretty good sleeper but she’s got a bit of a cold at the moment so is waking up more often than usual. It’s killing me. She only settles for me as well so my sleep over night is broken up. Fingers crossed the exhaustion let’s up after the first trimester šŸ¤ž

Lotsalotsagiggles · 04/08/2021 21:35

@charley39 yay! We can help adjust together

I'm just glad his 30 hours would've locked in so I can not feel guilty for him still going to childcare!

When's your first scans? Mine is 27sept

Nervyy · 04/08/2021 23:17

@broodyas yay so exciting isn't it!!! I have an early scan booked for next week but I'll 'only' be 6+5 so considering pushing it back to the week after but I don't know if I can handle the wait!!
Is this your first? 🄰 sorry if I've already asked, I get a little confused on these threads! X

@ItsAlice yep! I've took a complete about turn. I looked forward to testing up until the other day and now I'm dreading it and putting it off šŸ™ˆ I reckon I'll do it Friday FMU and if it's 2-3 still then I'm not going to worry as I have read sooo many posts about some women never getting 3+ but having a healthy pregnancy, so I can't dwell on it! I need to focus on the positives - No bleeding, no severe pain and no reason to think that this pregnancy won't be healthy šŸ¤žšŸ»ā¤ļø šŸ¤žšŸ» I am very excited to see the midwife although a little disappointed that it said on my letter that only essential carers or guardians are permitted (no mention of partners..) so I am just hoping this isn't the same for my NHS scans. What are the restrictions like where you are? I'm north west.. Also that is so exciting for you!! I'm counting the days until mine too but also considering moving it back haha don't know whether I'm coming or going these days!
ItsAlice · 04/08/2021 23:43

@Nervyy so reassuring to know I’m not the only one with POAS fear - I cannot wait to be able to bin all my remaining testing related stuff….

Such a shame you can’t take your partner! Not sure if you have other children but when we had my daughter we went to the booking appointment together and it was so exciting. That said, my surgery now does in person booking appointments but when I was last pregnant in November you went in to have the blood test and after 15 mins went to do the rest of it by phone from your car! Madness! I know my husband can come to my private scan and from friends I know that I’m our area (Midlands) partners can go to scans but you both have to have and take with you proof of a negative covid test, so not too onerous really (though no way could I do a back of mouth swab at the moment 🤢)

charley39 · 05/08/2021 05:21

@bubblybrit sounds like your having a real rough time of it. Hope it eases up for you!

@Lotsalotsagiggles I’ve only just contacted my GP yesterday as had to move surgeries. So now been referred so will wait to hear!

els96 · 05/08/2021 06:04

Is anyone struggling to sleep on a night? I get to sleep fine but wake up so many times!! Uncomfortable, needing the loo! If so, any tips?? 😩

@ItsAlice I caved and took it this morning, still 2-3 weeks and I'm 5+5 today. Relieved that it hasn't dropped to 1-2 but slightly disappointed not to get that 3+ !
Don't plan on buying anymore now so I just need to hold out for 7 days til my scan! Unless I move it back a bit šŸ‘€

It's a bit strange isn't it!? Im confident that he will be able to attend that scans as I am sure they can't justify continuing that restriction when people are going to pubs / clubs / concerts etc now but if needs be we will just have to book a bunch of private scans so he can experience this pregnancy alongside me.

Lalala1985 · 05/08/2021 09:14

@Lotsalotsagiggles I'm only 35 and I count as geriatric/advanced maternal age. I only just felt ready to have kids!

Lalala1985 · 05/08/2021 09:15

@els96 not so much struggling to fall asleep but I keep waking up really early.

GeorgiaMcGraw · 05/08/2021 11:05

@ItsAlice thank you, I suppose we have to remember that even after a mmc, it's statistically most likely that our next pregnancy will go well. Just hard to stay calm.

@nervvy I'm NW England too. For my previous pregnancy (the mmc) it was no partner allowed at first midwife appointment, but probably because she asked about home life, is husband supportive, is he abusive etc. The 12 week scan he was allowed to come with me, so I'm sure that will be the sane for you.. I could not have coped with the bad news otherwise, and I will never go alone to a scan now, even if they tightened the rules up. It's barbaric.

@GeorgiaMcGraw I'm so sorry to hear about your loss šŸ˜ž that sounds awful. I think he is able to attend scans so I'm not going to worry too much. Just need to wait another 7 days for our first private x

It is our first :) how about you?
