Sure start maternity grant

So I sent off my form for the sure start maternity grant of £500 when I was 29 weeks pregnant, I'm now coming up 34 weeks and haven't heard anything from them. It says online can take 7-10 days but I've been waiting nearly 5 weeks and nothing! I'm getting the keys for my new flat next week and have all the furniture and white goods to buy yet, so this £500 will come in handy for the rest of the baby shopping I need to do ready for his arrival!
Has anyone else had one recently? How long did it take to come through?

Gosh this brings back memories and my daughter is 11 now.
I can’t believe it’s still the same amount after 11 years that’s ridiculous isn’t it, but there is probably a back log like everything else at the moment.
If you don’t hear by Monday, Tuesday then you should definitely contact them by email and telephone.

I believe my mum got one whilst she was pregnant with me 20 years ago!
I was thinking it could be due to covid. I'll just have to do that! Hopefully if I do need to chase them up it'll get the process moving a little quicker.

I sent my form off on the 25/08/2021 and I’m on universal credit so i am hoping I get it just after my next pay day which is on 21/09/2021 also I’m 34 weeks pregnant really need to get some baby stuff I’ve got nothing yet and I’m due next month :\

I was the same, ring up and ask about it as it got it done quicker for me!! I'm now In hospital with my little one x
