Trying again after miscarriage

Hello lovelies

Just wanted ask if anyone has had a positive story of falling pregnancy after a miscarriage?
I'm currently miscarrying at 7 weeks due to a blighted ovum. This was my first pregnancy, I have PCOS but it only took us 3 cycles to conceive. The cycle we did conceive on I was taking metformin so think this helped massively. GP told me to stop taking the metformin soon as I become pregnant and I'm hoping this didn't play a part in the miscarriage?
I am just feeling so lost right now and petrified of it happening again. I'm hoping once my body is up to it we can try again soon as possible

Any stories are really appreciated ❤️

Condolences on your loss.

Yep done it a fair bit. I'm on my 10th pregnancy to pass 6wk (many chemicals too), only 5th to do well (35+2 atm). We have 5 children already from pregnancies 1, 4, 6 & 7 (twins). Our 3rd child we started ttc ASAP and got our bfp 6wk after the mc started. It's not easy but if you can get to the point of holding a newborn it is worth it.

Good luck

Thank you for your reply hun. Congratulations on your pregnancy! Amazing bit of motivation there thank you, I feel so negative atm thinking it will never happen again but will get trying soon as I feel I'm ovulating again! X

I'm so sorry for your loss, I've been there myself, it is hard. I got pregnant 3 months after my miscarriage and currently 22 weeks pregnant with no issues. Most miscarriages are a one off, they really are so don't be disheartened but let yourself grieve this one. I was sure it would happen to my over and over again but i didn't. If you listen to podcasts find Natalie Crawford as a woman and listen to the loss and miscarriage episode, it filled me with hope and is full of medical information. Sending you a big hug x

I am sorry for your loss! I had a mmc in November, and my hormones were all over the place afterwards. Concived in April and now I'm 14 weeks!
Give your body some time to recover, it will know when it's ready!

doesparentingsuck · 15/07/2021 22:34

I'm 6 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage 18 months ago so I completely feel you and feel very anxious about things. Praying I don't have to go through all of that again.

doesparentingsuck · 15/07/2021 22:34

And sorry for your loss Flowersxx

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it's an awful time. I have had three, all around 6-8 weeks. But in between times I had successes and I now have two strapping, healthy and lovely boys aged 13 and 11. The miscarriages are a distant memory now. Sending you baby dust ✨

Sorry to hear you're going through this. I too had a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks, blighted ovum as well. It was to be my second child. That was in April. I'm pregnant again now, roughly 5.5 weeks so still early days. I didn't ovulate straight after my miscarriage, so waited for next cycle. It's very unlikely for it to happen a second time, back to back. That's what I keep telling myself! You're way more fertile after a miscarriage for about 6 months afterwards. So you've got everything on your side to fall again quickly ♥️🙏🏻

@charannten1 I had two miscarriages in a row, one of which was in fact a blighted ovum. I'm now pregnant and under regular care with a consultant. Don't rush yourself; take care of your body, and try again whenever you're ready in your own time. There's no doubt miscarriages take away the happiness from future pregnancies you may have, but we've got the glimmer of hope in God. Sending you lots of love! X

Thank you ladies for all your stories 💗 I'm so sorry for each and every one of your losses. I am feeling so much more hopeful reading that you have had successes after a miscarriage. Just going to give my body time and might not even track? Just go with the flow.

Sorry if this question may be too personal.... but when having a miscarriage, is it normal to bleed for over a week? I'm seriously thinking when will this end!!! Sad

haidri · 19/07/2021 00:15

@charannten1 yes that's quite normal as it's all the old blood flushing out of your system. My bleeding stopped after around 2-3 weeks

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 09:52

Agree with @haidri, my bleeding took 2 weeks to tail off.
I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and I've been spotting again 😭 no clots, but I'm just so worried. I've got an early scan this Friday and it couldn't come quick enough 🙏🏻

haidri · 19/07/2021 10:49

@Ell17 sending you baby dust! I hope you go into that scan and see your little bean perfectly fine! :)
