Baby always kicking in same spot

Hi there! I'm almost 16 weeks and definitely starting to feel baby now (second pregnancy) I'm so so delighted as last time I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel DD until 24 weeks.

However it is always always in the same spot - it's unmistakable it's baby but I only ever feel him/her at the very bottom on my left side. Is this normal? Thank you!

Bump as I'm the same

Yes it's normal, baby is still very small and tucked up in the same small place. As it grows it'll take over more space and move around more and you'll feel the movements in more places.

Probably because baby is still tiny and that’s where they are. I noticed baby on my left side only till around 22 weeks where as now I’m 28 weeks it changes each time it kicks Smile

Really reassuring, thank you both so much!

DD was also much bigger by 24 weeks - I felt her all over when the kicks started happening so never noticed her just being in one spot. This one almost feels like a constant muscle twitch in the same area so I was starting to convince myself it actually was a muscle twitching!

Yes i was exactly the same and right up until about 30 weeks, i have an anterior placenta though so not sure if that makes a difference

Yep, my little one was always in my left hip! I’m 35 weeks now and I’m pretty sure she still tries to lay the same way but doesn’t have the space 😂

Mine is always left side, also where they go to get heartbeat. I’m 17 weeks
