When did you get a positive test result

Hi girls, this month I ovulated on the 3rd July in the evening (I know because I was in pain and the fertility doctor told me to expect so) and we had sex on 30th June and 3rd July morning.
I m hoping to be pregnant but my test is negative. Today is my 12dpo and the test is negative. My period should be here around 18th. So I m not sure if is too early to test or I m not pregnant.
How many days post ovulation you got your positive test?

I have just had a positive. My period was due Monday and I used a clear blue early response one on Friday which came back negative so I assumed I wasn't pregnant.

I then did a first response test in day two of my missed period which showed positive and did another test day three.

So I think it varies from each person, as the levels of HCG are different for everyone.

They say the tests are best done on or after the day your period is due and going from my experience that seems to be the case.

Also first response seems more accurate than clear blue in my experience too

I was 8dpo this time. I was tracking ovulation using bbt and test strips. I was 6 days before my period was due.

I do know that many many women don’t test positive until after their period is due though and I’d say it’s far more common to get a later positive test than an early one.

Don't track ovulation. I got BFP 2 days after af due on a cheap pink dye test & 3+ on CB digital a week later.

12dpo was my last negative day (on a frer) and I was sure if it was negative at 12dpo I couldn’t be pregnant but I was!

I wasn't tracking ovulation but I got my BFP 17 days after DTD (only did it once that month as I'd been ill). This was 2 days after AF was due, I'd had a negative test about 5 days before this.

@AlexandraMum Test the day that your period is due, or the day after. (Assuming it is late and you haven't come on).

I was SURE I was pregnant so did an early test during the week before I was due on and it was negative. Waited until the day I was due and I didn't come on, and I got a faint positive. The next day I got a BFP! I kept testing over that week and the line got darker.

It may be that you are just slightly too early at the moment and your HCG levels aren't quite high enough yet.

I used cheap Amazon strips and got a faint line at 11dpo ( didn't test earlier). I am really against early testing, but I had pregnancy symptoms before dpo 14 ( this is my second pregnancy, the first ended mmc, but both times I had pregnancy symptoms before AF should of show up) so I just wanted to confirm I wasn't crazy 😅

It was 9dpo for me on a CB 25 mIU but it was a blink and you miss it! The only reason I’d taken it was because I had one last FRER “sensitive” test that I was saving the day before a brunch with alcohol later that week and wanted to know if I could drink. So I took this one thinking it will be negative and I could prepare myself for a negative later on. I would say though I wish I hadn’t taken it because it really was a squint situation and didn’t know what to believe, unlike the more sensitive one that was clearly positive 12 dpo, so it definitely is a case of waiting for that hcg level to be high enough!

The first day my period was due I took a test and it was a strong positive.

10dpo using a FRER.

I ovulated around the 2nd July, had a positive digital on the 12th July.

It was about 12DPO for me but it was a propper feint line it was hardly there at all

I feel your pain OP! Was due on two days ago and also testing BFN.

I didn't test until the day my period was due, so got a positive at 14dpo.

BFN at 10DPO.
BFP at 14DPO on day that AF was due!

7dpo had a faint line with my second pregnancy. With my first I didn't even get a squinter until 12dpo, it was so faint my husband didn't even believe it.

Does anyone else think this looks like a positive line? It’s just an early response test and I’m not due my period for another 5 days anyway!
